Spider-Man 3 (2007, PG-13)
Peter Parker has finally learned to maintain a balance between his relationship with Mary-Jane and his responsibilities as Spider-Man. Harry is at it again; taking up the mantle of his late father's persona as The New Goblin. Peter must capture Uncle Ben's real killer, Flint Marko, who's been transformed into peter's toughest foe yet, the Sandman. All hope seems lost when our heroes suit turns jet-black and greatly amplifies his powers and the much darker qualities of Peter's personality so much though that he begins to lose himself. Peter must reach deep inside to free the compassionate hero he used to be if he is to ever conquer the darkness within and face not only his greatest enemies, but also...himself. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, Topher Grace, J.K. Simmons and Thomas Haden Church give one of the best performances to date in the spiderman triology. Better then I expected, fresher, more action, chaos and finding one's true self all mixed in the batter. Best movie I've seen in a long time |

Transformers (2007, PG-13)
This movie has everything! Humour, action, drama, romance. The bar has been raised for special effects and a seamless line to make you think that it's GCI characters are real. The Autobots and Decepticons feel heavy and absolutely real in every frame they're in. This isn't only a special effects film this is a true Michael Bay directed epic but also a deliverence of a film that stays true to the source material while updating the franchise for a modern audience. It's safe to say the careers of Shia LaBeouf and Josh Duhamel have been made and they both provide exactly what the film needs with expert, precise performances. This is a must see if you're in the mood for a strong, loud summer movie. Fans of the Transformers and newcomers alike will cheer. |

Hitman (2007, R)
A video game to screen espionage thriller. A genetically engineered assassin with a robotic personality and a chip on his shoulder as well as inside his head. The nameless '47', the perfect, workaholic multinational killer in question, a whiz at sniping and strangling, but clueless when it comes to conscience, sex or emotions. In any case, 47 finds himself caught between a Russian president with a contract on his head because he's too moderate, a corporate operative customer who sets 47 up and wants him dead, and the suspect sex slave in heat with a provocative tattoo on her cheek - no, not that one - who craves the sexually shut down hitman's body bad, but has to settle for a platonic relationship for the time being. Let's just say that 47 has a few nifty tricks up his sleeve to extricate himself from the most compromising situations, like keeping your Uzi's on ice until the moment is right. Hitman is a standard espionage fare, with some slick showmanship thrown in. Familiar territory with a fresh coat of paint. Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott, Olga Kurylenko, Robert Knepper, Ulrich Thomsen and Michael Offei give a "Hit" performance in this film |

Sin City (2005, R)
The most literal translation of a graphic novel to film yet. The world inhabited by the citizens of Basin City (Sin City, for short) is one of cruelty and depravity, and yet also one of friendship, love, and loyalty. Most cops can't be trusted and vigilante justice is the order of the day. It's the grimy, grungy, seedy side of life and it's not pretty. Frank Miller's fictional world of Sin City brought to life. Bruce Willis, Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Devon Aoki, Jamie King, Brittany Murphy, Mickey Rourke And Alexis Bledel give it all they got in this dark, depraved, black and white, on the edge of your seat film |
