Excellent cinematography and battle scenes mark this beautiful film by director Akira Kurisawa

Not quite as powerful as seven samurai or ran but the ending shots of the battlefield make this a great film

Great Picture. Funny, Dramatic, and all the performances are fantastic

Possibly one of the best and bloodiest action films to come out of Hong Cong. This proves that there does not need to be a great plot for it to be a great film

Suspensful and clautrophobic. I loved every minute of this one. Watch the five hour version made for West Germany T.V., it is well worth the time

Intense with great acting and a great story. Of course like all foreign films this one should be watched in its original language. Mandirin is such a beautiful language that puts english to shame.

Highly Entertaining. Not quite as good as The Seven Samurai or Ran but still great cinema.

Very fun to watch. Although it has a better story then Hard Boiled the action is not quite as entertaining.
