[Rec] (2007,  R)
[Rec]
Recommended by Deano78.

A simple looking movie that scared me stupid! I loved it. It was a fresh and exciting movie.

I think [Rec] worked really well because of how it was filmed,we dont really know whats happening which for me increased the appeal, even when the movies finished we are still none the wiser on a few things for example who was the boy in the penthouse and for me the not knowing also increases the fear factor. By the end of the movie i had to sit on my hands so i could not hide behind them. For 76 minutes i cut off from the real world and was happy to be sucked into this movie.

One of the best movie experiences i have had in a long time. [Rec] is the first movie to get 5 stars from me this year(2009).

Well done to [Rec] for making me truly scared, terrified and chilled to the bone.

This is a really good French thriller with a good but dark storyline.

I dont want to give too much away because i dont want to spoil the movie for anyone who has not yet seen it but wow i stumbled across this movie on my Sky planner a few minutes before it was about to start and what a find.

Mongol (2008,  R)
Mongol
I really enjoyed Mongol (another movie i had rated Not Interested). I loved the early years when Temudjin was little and he went to choose his bride,Borte. Good narration and some great battle scenes plus the story of Temudjin and Borte was lovely.

Is there going to be a sequel? I would love to see it.

Man cheng jin dai huang jin jia (Curse of the Golden Flower)
Wow!

I was not interested in watching this movie so my husband put it on whilst i was dealing with some paperwork. It took me about 10 minutes to drop the paperwork and settle down for the movie...i just couldnt take my eyes off it,it was distracting me.

The story is amazing, the colours are beautiful, the characters are interesting and the action scenes are perfectly done. Stunning!
