The Hills Have Eyes (2006, R)
The Hills Have Eyes is a great horror movie with lots of disturbing tension. This movie is my idea of horror perfection. I love the storyline and the character development,i really do care about the family and want them to survive. In one scene i actually burst out crying,my emotions felt like they were on a rollercoaster. I sat on the edge of my seat, wanting to cover my eyes but not wanting to miss anything. |

This is one of the most amazing films i have ever seen. It was very atmospheric and i felt like i was in the movie going on the journey with the main characters. It was very spooky to see London looking so eerie. Music was used very well in this film. |

Beautiful movie. It was a really fun film and it had the feel good factor. I sang all the way through and it ended leaving me feeling very happy which is great because i usually do not enjoy musicals. The casting was great,Meryl and Amanda looked and acted like real mother and daughter. The story was silly and cheesy but it did not matter because overall it was great. |

I was expecting this movie to suck big time and had no intentions of ever watching it but my husband put it on whilst we were in bed,it was after 2am in the morning and i needed to be up really early. After the first 15 minutes i was really enjoying it and really needed to watch it all. I thought it was a brilliant movie and i thought the ending was good and believable,it did not make me feel depressed instead i was happy that they had found each other even if it was only for one month. I loved it when the dog came back,he was adorable! |

Great fresh storyline. Kevin Costner and William Hurt were both great and i think this was Demi Moores best role in recent years. I wanted the movie to just carry on and so i am glad to learn the movie is part of a trilogy. I also found the movie quite funny especially how the character played by Demi(Detective Tracy Atwood)felt towards her ex-husband,i loved the line " Jesse, you know what would make me feel really safe right now? If you got hit by a truck and died!" |

What a great movie to start the new year with. I only decided to watch this movie because of its good reviews on Flixster and i was expecting not to like it or for it to be just about watchable but the storyline was really interesting and all of the main characters were very likeable. It is a beautiful movie. |

Testament (1983, PG)
Testament is a story told through the eyes of a housewive/mother trying to cope and take care of her family after a nuclear attack. The movie begins quite slowly letting us get to know what the family is like. After the attack the mother keeps a journal and we see several scenes from happier days played on a projector in the mothers memory. Besides from two bright flashes of light this movie offers no other special effects but it does show us emotional devastation, suffering, personal loss and heartbreak in a realistic and believable manner. Quite a few scenes brought tears to my eyes and i think i am in need of a feel good film. |

Stop Loss (2008, R)
Ryan Phillippe,Joseph Gordon-Levitt,Timothy Olyphant and Steven Strait.....swoon.....okay on a serious note this is actually quite a good movie, its well acted and it keeps the viewer interested. I liked it which is quite rare because i am not really into war themed movies. The only thing that bugged me slightly was Channing Tatum,i think this might be the first movie i have seen him in (the only reason i know of him is because he appears in all the teen mags my daughter reads) and he was a bit of a meat head, his acting was terrible......unlike Joseph Gordon-Levitts acting,he was amazing and i love how he manages to pull off so many different roles flawlessly. |

I had this rated this movie "NOT INTERESTED" but i watched it because it was on Sky Movies and i was out of rentals to watch. The trailers i had seen for this movie did not look promising but i have to admit i really really enjoyed it. I am not a big rom-com fan but this one managed to impress me. Okay so we have seen the plot many times before but who cares? Not me. |
