School of Rock (2003,  PG-13)
School of Rock 4.5 Stars
The definitive Rawk movie, and one of Jack Black's best roles... him playing himself... go figure. Honestly, as a family movie this works... but as a rock film, it blows me away! This film is chock full of rock trivia and tid-bits... Buy it now.

Crossroads (1986,  R)
Crossroads 3.5 Stars
As a movie, this is weak... however, as a guitar battle of the century (Steve Vai vs. The Karate Kid) it ranks very well! Seriously, The Kid can shred... okay, maybe not... it's Ry Cooder dubbing the parts, but it looks cool!

Based on a story that revolves around a reclusive Brian Wilson type character and featuring the music of the Rheostatics with the song "Claire" and original score. A must see!

Almost Famous (2000,  R)
Almost Famous 4.0 Stars
When I watch this, I feel almost, almost, nearly, slightly close to someone who could be famous. Anyways, there were some great scenes... 'specially the plane going down scene near the end... hilarious! And who wouldn't want to be 'de-flowered' in the method suggested in the film....

Black Snake Moan (2007,  R)
Black Snake Moan Want To See
I've skimmed through this one... the fact that Sam Jackson learned to play, and play well thrills me. Once I'm through it, I'll review it... but I know it's in my top "Music" movies already...
