Lately, I've discovered the joys of the Western, predominantly on film. Here are the ones I've enjoyed most.

1
Blazing Saddles (1974,  R)
2
Once Upon a Time in the West (C'era una volta il West) (1968,  PG-13)
Once Upon a Time in the West (C'era una volta il West)
One of the greatest of all westerns. The music, the acting...perfect.
3
The Great Silence (Il Grande silenzio) (1968,  Unrated)
4
Django (1966,  Unrated)
Django
Another excellent film by Sergio Corbucci, who also directed THE GREAT SILENCE. Franco Nero makes a great Spag Western hero.
5
A Fistful of Dollars (Per un Pugno di Dollari) (1964,  R)
A Fistful of Dollars (Per un Pugno di Dollari)
The beginning of a classic trilogy. Not quite up to the two that followed it, but still quite good. Eastwood is the man.
6
For a Few Dollars More (Per Qualche Dollaro in Più) (1965,  R)
For a Few Dollars More (Per Qualche Dollaro in Più)
The best film in Leone's Dollars Trilogy. Love those three-way showdowns.
7
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.) (1966,  R)
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (Il Buono, il Brutto, il Cattivo.)
The best-known Spaghetti Western. The three leads all turn in quality performances.
8
The Missouri Breaks (1976,  PG)
The Missouri Breaks
Marlon Brando is GREAT in this movie. Of course, Jack Nicholson ain't exactly a slouch. :)
9
High Plains Drifter (1973,  R)
High Plains Drifter
Clint's most unusual western. Reportedly based on the Spaghetti Western "Django il bastardo", which I plan on seeing.
10
Zachariah (1971,  PG)
Zachariah
A rock-western version of Siddhartha. Yes, really! The Firesign Theatre came up with this little number, only to disown it later on, but it's surprisingly good.
11
I Quattro dell'apocalisse (Four of the Apocalypse) (1975,  Unrated)
I Quattro dell'apocalisse (Four of the Apocalypse)
A very disturbing, very emotionally-charged late entry in the spaghetti western genre by Italian gore-maestro Lucio Fulci. The light-rock songs are a bit off-putting, but quailty nonetheless. Tomas Milian turns in his best performance as the vicious Chaco. This movie needs to be a lot better known and regarded.
12
The Wild Bunch (1969,  R)
The Wild Bunch
One of the all-time classics. Not a bad actor in the bunch (no pun intended).
13
Unforgiven (1992,  R)
Unforgiven
Does for Clint what THE SHOOTIST did for John Wayne, in some ways. Nice deromanticization of the old west. It's my mom's favorite western.
14
El Topo (1970,  Unrated)
El Topo
A surreal masterpiece. Hard to understand at times, but always impressive.
15
Keoma (Django's Great Return) (The Violent Breed) (1976,  Unrated)
Keoma (Django's Great Return) (The Violent Breed)
Great film which could have used better music. Excellent cinematography and atmosphere.
16
Mannaja (A Man Called Blade) (1980,  Unrated)
Mannaja (A Man Called Blade)
Rather good, gritty spaghetti western. Interesting that the hero uses an axe as his weapon.
17
Pale Rider (1985,  R)
Pale Rider
Another winner for Clint Eastwood, with interesting biblical overtones.
18
La Resa dei conti (The Big Gundown)(Account Rendered) (1966,  R)
La Resa dei conti (The Big Gundown)(Account Rendered)
Sadly, the version of this I own is cut, and there's never been an official U.S. DVD or VHS release. Still, a most enjoyable film, and Van Cleef and Milian are always a joy to watch.
19
Vamos a matar, compañeros (Companeros) (1970,  R)
20
Se sei vivo spara (Django Kill - If You Live, Shoot!) (1967,  Unrated)
21
Da uomo a uomo (Death Rides A Horse) (As Man to Man) (1967,  Unrated)
22
A Bullet for the General (El chuncho, quien sabe?) (1966,  Unrated)
23
Corri, uomo, corri (Run, Man, Run) (1968,  Unrated)
24
The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976,  PG)
25
A Fistful of Dynamite (Duck, You Sucker) (Giù la testa) (1972,  R)
26
The Searchers (1956,  Unrated)
27
I Giorni dell'ira (Blood and Grit) (Day of Anger) (Gunlaw) (1967,  Unrated)
28
They Call Me Trinity (Lo chiamavano Trinità) (1970,  G)
29
The Mercenary (Il Mercenario) (A Professional Gun) (1968,  Unrated)
30
Blindman (1971,  R)
31
My Name Is Nobody (Il mio nome è Nessuno) (1973,  PG)
32
Trinity Is Still My Name (...continuavano a chiamarlo Trinità) (1971,  Unrated)
