Just like most people, I like a good laugh, but it takes certain kinds of comedies to tickle my funny bone.
I have a lot of favourite comedy movies (and some movies that aren't considered comedies but I find funny), and here they are.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975,  PG)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Despite it being a laugh-out-loud comedy, it still has a feel of Medieval England for most of the film. Some of the Python's best work, we see the epic adventure of King Arthur and his knights trying to find the elusive Holy Grail. Terry Gilliam's animations are incorporated into this movie much more effectively than ever before in any Monty Python sketches. Ni!

The 'Burbs (1989,  PG)
The 'Burbs
I love this film, it's so close to actual surburban life it's scary. The men are like children and of course the wives are in control of the entire street. As per usual, the arrival of strangers disrupts this suburban harmony...
3
The Princess Bride (1987,  PG)
The Princess Bride
A classic movie that pokes fun at every fairytale romance and Errol Flynn movie ever made. It's got great humour, great actors and some great swordfighting.
4
Robin Hood - Men in Tights (1993,  PG-13)
Robin Hood - Men in Tights
Another excellent Mel Brooks movie. This is the one that got me hooked on his movies, and Cary Elwes! And he does do a convincing English accent...
5
Young Frankenstein (1974,  PG)
Young Frankenstein
Not just another Frankenstein movie...full of sex jokes, slapstick and that good old Mel Brooks casting :)
6
Beetle Juice (Beetlejuice) (1988,  PG)
Beetle Juice (Beetlejuice)
A hilarious comedy, with a fantastic interpretation of the afterlife. It's nice to see humans as the pest for a change :)
7
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989,  PG)
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Absolute classic, a fun-filled adventure through time. And the larger-than-life characters add to the enjoyable stupidity of it. Party on dudes!
8
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991,  PG)
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
Killed by their evil robot duplicates, Bill and Ted have to bargain with Death to go and save their future. A fun journey through the afterlife, with some good interpretations and as good as the original movie.
Station!
9
Wayne's World (1992,  PG-13)
Wayne's World
A little too decade-relevant for today's kids, but a perfect movie for anyone who knows what being a young adult in the 80s. Heck, it's practically a documentary. Two young men are starting to launch their television career, but sticking it to the man in their own way, while also finding love.
10
Back to the Future (1985,  PG)
Back to the Future
A fun movie about time travel (of course), it's a classic and has had a huge influence on pop culture. However having seen all the other movies in the series I can't remember which storyline belongs to which movie...
Unless you have your head around time travel and alternate timelines, don't even try to understand it, just enjoy it!
11
Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home (1986,  PG)
Star Trek IV - The Voyage Home
A fun movie that sees Spock slowly regain his memory in 1980s San Fransisco! The storyline is a little abstract, but that's made up for in humour when the 23rd Century crew of the Enterprise learn to live like Americans in 1986.
12
Galaxy Quest (1999,  PG)
Galaxy Quest
A funny spoof of every sci-fi program ever made (but one in particular)! Some real aliens have been receiving broadcasts from earth, and believe sci-fi drama Galaxy Quest to be historical documents, and have based their entire society on the programme. Now doing the convention circuit, the argumental actors are abducted to help the aliens defeat a real-life threat, and in doing so grow closer and realise just how much of an impact their show really had.
