Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002,  R)
Shark Attack 3: Megalodon 5.0 Stars
Okay, if I was asked my favourite film of all time it would be the Evil Dead Trilogy. I grew up with them so the reason they are my favourite is a personal reason. But if you were to ask me the best film in terms of pure filmmaking and influence on film as a whole it would have to be this one. I really am surprised people even bother making films after this one was made, they can't do anything new. And screenwriters take note, this film has some of the greatest dialogue ever written. One line in particular seems to stand out.
Masterpiece. Genius. Perfection. All those words would be an insult to describe Shark Attack 3's greatness. Truly makes Jaws obsolete.

One of the best straight to video films by the director of America's Deadliest Home Videos! Very enjoyable, surprising and atmospheric.

The Convent (2000,  R)
The Convent 4.0 Stars
One of my favourite STV movies of the 90s. I think this one could have easily done well had it been released in theaters. I've heard it described as a party movie and I'd be inclined to agree. Like Evil Dead mixed with Night of the Creeps this is a really fun and funny horror film (and this is coming from a guy who hates a lot of horror comedies).

I'm shocked. It's a really good Van Damme film. If you like prison films at all this one's a winner.

Crocodile 2: Death Swamp 3.0 Stars
I found this film to be thoroughly entertaining, and it had a giant crocodile! I liked the first Crocodile, but I enjoyed the crime story in this one better that the teens in peril one in the first. Still, both have a giant crocodile eating people.

Abominable 3.5 Stars
I liked quite a bit. It took a while to get going, but when it did, it was non-stop. Some good deaths as well. I also liked how they combined Rear Window with the Bigfoot genre. A lot of fun.

Feast (2005,  R)
Feast 4.0 Stars
A surprisingly fun film. I could have done without so much comedy, especially after Descent, which showed how great horror could be when done seriously, but it wasn't too bad at all. I've never seen Project Greenlight, but reading up on Feast, it seems people were rooting for this film to fail since it had an unlikable director and Wes Craven hated the script (and anyone who has seen Shocker and Vampire in Brooklyn know the high standards this man lives by), but I thought he did a good job and apparently tried to take almost all the comedy in the script out altogether. A comendable act in itself.

Love Object (2003,  R)
Love Object 4.0 Stars
Top notch, psychotic performance by Desmond Harrington in a movie that doesn't pull it's punches. The anti-May movie, for people who like their villains, whether you feel sorry for them or not, not to be the heroes.
