This movie simply sucks. There are a few tense moments that can cause a jump or two, but that is all I can say that is good about this one. This had a crappy twist ending that even M. Night Shymalan is not stupid enough to try and use. Rather than wrap things up, the twist ending left even more loopholes. Don't watch this - avoid it at all costs
This was a very predictable run-of-the-mill made for TV film. It might be worth one viewing only, but that's about it. Nothing original, and the cast is full of has-been TV actors, along with a couple of up-and comers for that time.
Yeah, this thing is pretty awful. A stupid story (done much better in "Candyman") with some untalented actors. The only thing that keeps this from being total crap is some decent gore sfx. Hardly groundbreaking, but decent nevertheless.
This movie started out with potential - it could have been a half-decent thriller. Instead, it was a huge disappointment with one of the stupidest endings ever.
This is a great movie! Bruce Campbell is hilarious (as always), and Coscarelli does a great job as director. It's so unbelievably far-fetched that you can't help but like it.
Wow, is this ever crappy. A story that makes little sense, some bad acting, and some schlocky-looking gore fx. You would have thought that with Tom Savini on board, he could have lent his expertise and made the gore look better, but I guess he was just getting a paycheck. Even copious amounts of naked women can't help this one.
Pretty crummy story about pretty teenagers getting killed off at their highschool. The contrived "Sixth Sense" kind of ending doesn't help any. This one is a waste of time.
Low-budget junk desperately trying to be the next "Evil Dead", but failing miserably. I won't completely trash it, as it was quite funny in parts and there was some pretty good gore effects every now and then.
A lot of people trash this movie, but I don't think it is so bad. It's got some genuinely creepy moments and packs a few frights. Maybe it's not as good as the Japanese original, I don't know.
This movie gets trashed a lot on this site, but I didn't think it was so bad! It's got a few creepy moments, and a decent atmosphere about it. It's not great, but at least it's not as bad as "The Ring 2"!
This is definitely one of the better directorial efforts of Clive Barker. Although it wanders far away from the plot of the original story on which it is based, it is still a cool mixture of suspense, horror, action, and mystery.
Wow! What a piece of shit! This started out promising, with a creepy location and a mysterious backstory - then it degenerated into a stupid overblown story featuring a low-budget Sarlacc pit from "Return of the Jedi". Is Tobe Hooper really the guy who gave us the original "Texas Chainsaw . . ."?
This is a fantastic movie, and a great remake of the old Boris Karloff classic. However, this one owes a lot more to Indiana Jones than it does to horror films.
Not as good a movie as the original, but still a fun ride. The ending scene with the giant scorpion looks like unfinished CGI effects and really ruined a fairly decent film.
Yet another remake of a Japanese horror film. This one should have been skipped. It's not a bad story, and the atmosphere is quite creepy, but it all falls flat and ends with yet another unsatisfying ending. Come on Hollywood, aren't there any original ideas out there?
How can a movie with such a short running time seem so long? This is an exercise in boredom as it is neither scary, nor thrilling. A big yawn from me. I can't believe I paid $3.50 for this.
This was well-acted and directed. The story kept you guessing and created a nice amount of suspense. Unfortunately, the trademark twist-ending leaves this movie almost unwatchable a second time around.
I thought this movie was great. It has the trademark spooky gothic atmosphere that we've come to expect from Tim Burton, as well as some awesome effects and wry humor. Johnny Depp is good, but Christopher Walken is even better as the Horseman.
Hey, this one's pretty good! It borrows very heavily from "The Omen" and even takes a little from "The Shining", but the end result is alright. It's creepy at times, and it will even make you jump once or twice. Not a bad way to spend 90 minutes.
This movie was just average. That's it. It had some suspenseful moments, but the story got off-track and wound up with a very bland ending. If you like movies about secret witches covens and stuff like that, you might like this one.
