As always, Hayao Miyazaki never seems to surprise me with his masterpieces. Of all his movies, I feel this one has put a great affect and inspiration in my heart, and I thank you Mr. Miyazaki. Can not wait till your next masterpiece.

WALL-E (2008,  G)
WALL-E
Greatest animation movie of the year! Great story ( as always with Pixar). Great animation (as always again with Pixar). It is just too much of an adorable, funny, futuristic and cute movie. Never have Pixar put so much in there movie as this one. I mean not only was there action and adventure but love and romance, plus a messenge for us to learn from. I really love this movie, cant get enough of it. Pixar really out did there selves, might even be better than Finding Nemo.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008,  PG)
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Although it didnt have everything that George usually puts in the Star Wars saga (romance, drama, mystery). It lived up to its name by showing us a more in depth look at the Clone Wars packed with double the action and adventure. Thats good enough for me. The animation was great and the story was ok. I liked how they put in some humor as well, the droids were hilarious! Just wish they had did the opening credits a little more like the originals. Also wish to have seen General Grievous in the movie but at least I will see him in the tv series. Other than those things, it was action pack, adventurous, had great battle scenes, great new characters, great lightsaber duels and like I said, it told a sideline story of the Clone Wars.

Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children (2006,  PG-13)
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
Greatest animation effects I have ever seen! Tight fight scenes and characters. I really fell inlove with the animation, it looks so REAL!

Kung Fu Panda (2008,  PG)
Kung Fu Panda
Great Animation, Great Comedy, and a Great Storyline to truely learn from. And before I forget, the ACTION was sooooo TIGHT! It worked well with the awesome animation. I really loved watching this movie, it was total Awesomeness lol.

Last Holiday (2006,  PG-13)
Last Holiday
Very loving and touchable.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008,  PG-13)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
wow.....I mean WOW! I usually dont watch many of these kinds of science fiction movies but ....WOW! They did a great job on this one. The Story, Plot, Narrating, Characters, Setting, Everything was just great and fit so well for the whole film, I mean ..WOW! It was very creative, and yeah I admit too, it was a bit too long for me but worth it none the less. Its probably the only drama/romantic movie I can watch over and over again.......with a break in between those 3 hours. lol. Still I love it. It has to win an award of some sort.
22
Pearl Harbor (2001,  PG-13)
Pearl Harbor
Great war scenes! The drama between the nurse and the two pilots I can do without but it was ok I guess. The film was a bit too long though to only have a few big action scenes. At least they were great action scenes, nonetheless! Overall, its still a strong and great reenactment of our history.

Up (2009,  PG)
Up
AS ALWAYS, PIXAR HAS DONE IT! This was Pixar's most teary and touching film yet. Very, Very dramatic and emotional. The animation is always on point but it isnt the animation that their audience love so much but their great skills in telling their story and ability to catch our hearts. Their movies are always well animated, funny, dramatic, romantic, action, and even very educational, I mean everything is in their movies. I think UP is Pixar's finest example of how emotional and touching they can get with their films. I mean, of all the Pixar movies........this one actually made my eyes water. I wonder what they have in store for me next year, I might just actually burst into tears, crying lol.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009,  PG-13)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Its like I said, it will be this summer's hottest movie! This one was wayyyy better than the last! There was never a dull moment, I was fully entertained through out the entire movie, they had me on the edge of my seat looking forward to see what was to happen next. Just one question, did they think about kids under 13 as fans of Transformers too?.....but that problem didnt bother me that much. I mean this installment has none stop action! Not to mention, it was even more funny than the last one. The twins are hilarious lol! Sam's parents were funny too, especially his mom. I see they added a little drama, mystery, and romance in it as well. Great new host of characters! I love the battle/war scenes between the Autobots and Decepticons! In my opinion, there is NO other summer movie of 2009 that can top Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Rails & Ties (2007,  PG-13)
Rails & Ties
Very moving and touching in my opinion. Probably the only Drama type movie I wouldnt mind watching again and again. It had such strong emotions played through out the film. Just wish there was more of an visual background story on the suicidal mother and her son. Like, let us see them days before the accident and how their lives were played out. There were times I some how became lost with the characters personality as if they were bi-polar or something, I dont know. The ending was nice and happy at least.

The Golden Compass (2007,  PG-13)
The Golden Compass
Even though I have yet to read the novel, the movie was still very imaginative and creative. Although I became lost in the story at certain points, I was still able to keep up with the storyline of the movie. Awesome effects and great cast. Overall it was a great fantasy movie. There was hardly a dull moment. I only have one negative thing about the movie..........and that is the sorry ending. I hope the ending meant that there is a sequel planned.

District 9 (2009,  R)
District 9
Nice......very NICE! I love this movie. I had to watch it again and again. I like how the aliens look......well......like real aliens. Aliens are suppose to look like something not from Earth and not humans with some make-up to them. Plus, they gave them there own language with subtitles, nice touch. I like the documentary storyline. It was a great touch to the movie. The CGI was tight! Like I said, I watched again and again, cause I was stilled left hanging and wondering on certain things left out. But now, Im no longer lost, I understand the movie fully now and whats going on. Like why the Aliens are there, why they cant get back home, why were they still on Earth, why were the government trying so much to keep the aliens there, and what the government agency were up to from the start they discovered the aliens. But I mean, the only negative I can find is......if this was to happen in real life.....would we really be kind and give them a home or blow them up? Anyway, back to the movie, it was tight. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The aliens and there spaceship were tight. The plot was nice, Love the cinematography used and documentary feel to the the storyline. Its also like a hit in the face on reality, like our own world in real life is like that (minus the aliens). District 9 is among my favorite movies of the year 2009!

9 (2009,  PG-13)

Nicely done film. It had action, suspense, thrills, and mystery. The artistic style of the animation was tight! It worked well with the dark feeling of the movie. I was able to follow the story very well in understanding what was going on. I love its little twist on machines taking over. Usually machines are fighting against humans but in this film, they are fighting robotic dolls. I like the dolls by the way. I like how each had there own personality and purpose for being made. The machines were the best! Just wish to have seen more of them, maybe even a war scene between the dolls and the machines or something lol. The film was short in my opinion, maybe too short, didnt want for it to end. The ending was ok but would have been much better if 9 had the power to put the souls of the others back into new dolls. Also, it would have been a nice touch to add a little humor in it. The brain machine was tight! I like its metal arms and dark thinking with a taste for revenge. Overall, the movie was very artistic and that is what I like most about it. I hope to see more from Shane Acker.

Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire (2009,  R)
Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire
WHOA! I usually dont watch too many of these type of dramatic films but somehow this one caught my eye and my heart as well. I see it as an African-American version of Cinderella set in the real-life world. Truly is a touching, very moving, and passionate movie. I love the variety of cast members of both familiar and new faces. Gabourey did her thing playing the role of Precious! Great job on Mariah Carey's part, hardly recognize her! Paula is hot! Never have I witness a movie that touched on just about every little issue in our society. I like how it was not too serious but had some humor, romance, and a little fantasy too. I mean really though, for the serious parts, this film had me with teary eyes at some scenes lol. I think I like these type of movies that pertain to the real world but only a few of them lol. Still love my Fiction lol. Probably the only movie of its genre I will put in my favorite list, the ONLY! In my opinion, it is the movie of the year!

Where the Wild Things Are (2009,  PG)
Where the Wild Things Are
I love the use of visual effects and animatics/animation! Great use of cinematography! The storyline was ok I guess but I think I might want to re-read the novel again to see how they both compare. Plus, I feel that something was either missing or they did too much in the movie. At least it had humor in it though. I love the songs in it too. Besides the little dark scenes, it still was a very magical and imaginative movie! I think one thing was accomplish very well though and that was unleashing that inner-child in all of us. I, myself, see it as a very good inspiring movie.
