Amazing. Beautiful. What can I say about 8 1/2 that hasn't been said before? It's amazingly written, very surrealist -yay!- and with some perfectly written characters. Performances were just amazing, and it's directed with such a maestry.... Can't say enough. Brilliant!

A creepy and cruel look at show business, and a hell of fight between bitches. Loved all the great performances, specially Bette Davis, who steals all the movie.

Amazing, cruel, and sometimes hard to watch. Yes, Edward Norton gives a brilliant performance, and, yes, the script's genious as well. The photography's awesome, loved the combination of black and white with color. What really surprised me is that the movie rouches universal subjects that affect us all in a way or another one. The hate, the violence is shown in its crudest ways. I liked that the director showed the topic with no taboos and just as it is. And the best part, (or worst part, depending on how you see it), is that the topic is STILL happening today. I think that's its greatest achievement.

This movie's excellent. It's amazingly written, and Bale gives his best performance EVER. What more can I say that hasn't been said before? It has a clear and critic message against society, which might have been specificly to the yuppie culture in the 80's, but it still useful nowadays. And I really really want to read the book!!

What can I say about Eisenstein's masterpiece that hasn't been said before? A MUST see for all those who call themselves 'Movie lovers' !

Might be Hitchcock's most conventional horror, yet it's still quite creepy and thrilling.

One of the very first films ever, The Birth of a Nation is, indeed, an important film. The first thing I noticed was the incredible makeup and costumes, as well as the nice photography. (Yeah, even though it's kinda old, it's still a nice photography, making enphasis on what Griffith wanted us viewers to notice). Now, for the story... The film is amazingly and incredibly racist. I dare say that this is the most denigrating film ever seen I've seen so far. It's also very very long, and tedious at times. After all, half of the movie IS what I saw last semester on American History class. The other half is the "glorious rise of the Ku Kux Klan" and it's benefits for the nation. Blagh. The movie still is good to see, for both historical and technical purposese, and I can truly say I like silent films, they've got a charm that modern films don't, yet The Birth of a Nation isn't a nice silent film regarding the main theme. Very good, indeed. Shame on Griffith, though, for being such a racist twit.

Amazing! I can't find the words to describe what I thought of this movie. The characters got me, the performances by Beatty and Dunaway were awesome, the actionline and score were gorgeous.... Everything about this movie's amazing, the setting, the characters' motives, the clothes, the music, the performances, the script.... Stunning!

Creepy. The simple idea gives me creeps, but the idea of a nazi scientist cloning Hitlers and letting them grow and develop around the globe's just scary. Aaahh.... *shivers* The performaces by Peck and Olivier were quite impressive.
It's a very nicely done film, with many theories which can be discussed and debated after seeing the movie...

Well-written story and good acting, specially by Rockwell...
Clooney's a very nice promise as a director, and seems that he wants to be like Robert Redford.....

Solid and suspenseful, Dirty Harry has everything to be a great cop movie, with a badass performance by Clint Eastwood, a nice storyline, and crude action.

OMG. This is an amazing film, which can present the state during the Cold War effectively and still laugh about it!! Seriously, I couldn´t stop laughing, or at least remove the huge grin on my face. This movie has the charm of an awesome script, and performed brillantly. A big cheer for Peter Sellers for his amazing performances, and for giving life to one of the coolest characters ever, Dr. Strangelove. It´s a chilling ride, an amazing combination of suspense political thriller with an intelligent comedy.

Though a little long and slow, Doctor Zhivago's a really well built story, having as a context the Great War, the Bolshevik Revolution and the start of Communism in great Russia. The story's entretaining, and here's some really beautiful shots in the white snow. The costumes are amazing, and the performances are strong enough to support the story. Quite a little pretty odyssey.

A great story about a man that is desperatley trying to find himself in a decadent society.
Fellini is a genious, and Mastroianni's a great actor...Together they're dynamite.

Amazing, and with quite a repertoire of characters. Al Pacino gives another golden performance, and the whole edition and presentation of the movie's really nicely achieved. Great little movie.

Wow. A mind-blowing experience, with a great cast, and a freaky story to tell. Weird and different.
So...anyone wants to go to the CellarDoor?

The costumes and makeup are excellent. The cast is amazing, yet only few members of it give their best. The film romantices the dark original story of Dracula, and forces a love story, and I mean 'forces' because the film tries really hard to combine both horror and gore with love elements. Still entretaining, though.

The very first achievement of this movie is the intelligent script that presents us compleate and deep characters, and mature language and dialogs. The script also presents the two sides of the main issue on the film: while the young characters, (played by Daniel Brühl, Stipe Erceg and Julia Jentsch) defend the ideal of social equality and that capitalism is the main cause of all the world's problems, the old character, (played by Burghart Klaussner), defends the idea that capitalism is still necesary for a comfortable lifestyle, and for protecting the people one cares about. Ideal to leave you thinking, the film also has very nice performances, and the photography's amazing. It's entretaining, but also gives you a strong, clear message.

This little film reminds me of what I'd love about movies everytime I see it. The film has a nice, sold script with a really interesting story and witty humor. It's also a good look to the wild times Germany went through thanks to the sociopolitical changes right after the fall of the wall and the reunification of both West and Eastern Germany. The performances were awesome, everyone did their best and showed great capacity at acting, specially Daniel Brühl. The movie is also blessed with the gorgeous score by Yann Tiersen., and by a wonderful editing. Really really really recommendable, and I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the movie: "The country my mother left behind was a country she believed in; a country we kept alive till her last breath; a country that never existed in that form; a country that, in my memory, I will always associate with my mother."

The main charm of LMS is its ability of being compleately bittersweet throughout the whole film. There's this witty, wonderful script, great performances, (which, along with the cruel humor that I love, is the heart of the movie?, and a very nice message at the end, along with such aweseomely crude critics at our modern society. The characters are complex, yet we get to identify with each one of them, and each actor can make them believable and compleately human, which is, at the end, the greatest achievement of this movie.

Quite interesting, indeed, yet a little bit too slow for a sci fi, but, then again, it's more on the message than anything.

Once
(2007, R)
Amazing. Just how a simple story, plus nice performances and a great soundtrack can do. The shots and scenary's quite amazing, very well edited and directed, And, guess what? There's no Hollywood ending, there's not tons of millions of budget, and it has a really well made script. It's quite a heartwarming, beautiful story.
