Most people don't like this, but I'm one of the are few who actually do. There's a good story and good acting from Stallone, who, at the end, delivers the best dramatic monologue of his career. It's great because defies all cinematic conventions of the Action flick. The hero is emotionally and mentally troubled, the bad guys are good guys, the hero never kills anyone, there's no female love interest and best of all, there's a motorcycle chase with no music or MTV-style editing, like there would be now. |
