Hitler: The Rise of Evil (2003,  Unrated)
Hitler: The Rise of Evil

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

My knowledge of Hitlers life and Germanys History is not yet to that level of what I want it to be, but basing from what Ive already read and know, its actually a pretty good film. Its NOT perfect, but its good enough to give you goosebumps.

I want to give this movie a perfect 5, but I feel that there were some scenes that I couldnt really agree upon. About the time of World War I when Hitler was a messenger, and the questionable "script" they placed to what little they actually touched on Hitlers childhood.

The movie subltly, and slowly gives out some sort of misinformation, you might call it an opinionated character bashing, which I think is so not necessary for this type of film and story. Hitler was a madman, but I think there is no need for the "evil exaggeration", but as far as the casting, acting and directing went, it was perfect, its just really the slight alterations on the story that made me slash off half a star in my rating.

This is a 2 part film, and its 3 hours long, but nonetheless interesting. When the movie was about to end, I thought that I was gonna be left hangging, but they did make up for it before the credits rolled in.

(I have a fascination for this slice of history, mainly because I want to understand and know the truth about what happened during that time. I feel robbed of this story/knowledge because exclusive all girls catholic schools dont put this on the curriculumn.)

Best viewed back to back with Hitler - eine Karriere, which is a very interesting and intriguing old documentary that actually shows the real people as themselves.

*Ill just redo this review some other time. Too tired to make a proper one../font>

"Is God the Author of Evil? In this question, St. Augustin begins his dialogue on free will.... he finds no answer. --- Marquis de Sade sneeringly replies that evil is essential to the vicious organization of this Universe."

The story takes you to Munich, Germany, where Von Gall Sr. is being tortured by a Nazi officer. The Nazis are trying to extract the access codes of several Swiss bank accounts from this man, which were being used to fund the underground resistance to help Jews escape and start over.

A pretty gripping movie with a superb cast! Brutality and sadism, gentleness and innocence, chess in a time of war, I thought the story was extremely amazing! It had me glued to the screen waiting in anticipation on whats going to happen next, there were a lot of heart pinching scenes, and a lot of eye candy from the sets to the actors, it was all well drawn, but maybe they overdid some of the sets?

Thomas Sansgard is one brilliant actor! Ive seen him in Hitler: Rise of Evil (among the list of kiddie and non-kiddie films hes been in) and Im definitely looking forward to watching more of his movies! --- Oh, and one of the villains in this movie is.. tortuously, maddeningly sexy! :P'

Set in a time where Jews were hunted down, Rachel Stein, a singer that comes from a Jewish wealthy family, had to go into hiding in order to survive the holocaust. On her journey, she had suddenly become a spy for the resistance and ended up working closely with the Nazis. If they should ever find out her true identity, she would be taken out instantly.

Jane Bond near the end of World War II. Thrilling, sexy, addictive, alluring and strangely captivating. A bit long but every scene in the movie made sense and didnt feel like it was stretched or anything of the sort. An instant classic!

Re-reviewed:

"We have only one thing to give up. Our dominion. We don't own the world. We're not kings yet. Not gods. Can we give that up? Too precious, all that control? Too tempting, being a god?"

Dr Ethan Powell (played by Anthony Hopkins) is a very bright anthropologist who went missing in the jungles of Africa, he was recently found but has gone vicious and temporarily insane. Now he faces a death sentence for several murders, and is being called "Ape Man" by the inmates.

I think this is a once in a lifetime pairing, having Anthony Hopkins and Cuba Gooding Jr playing major roles in the same film, Donald Sutherland was just an added treat really. Extremely superb solid acting, the story and dialogues has something deep to offer its viewers, and for me thats always something that Im more than happy to watch and listen to every now and then.

Inspired by the novel "Ishmael", by Daniel Quinn.

I found it funny at the start where Willis gets out of the copter, looking all badass and macho honcho.

The twist was pretty, ok I guess. I liked the infiltration scenes and the brutal scenes, but somewhere near the end I started laughing, cuz of the erm.. fireworks and how the lights went off from the guns.

Its good, but... oh well.. Ill let you decide what to think of it.

"The truth needs no translation."

If theres anything I liked with this one, its the combination of Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn, they were like ying and yang in this movie. I just loved watching them while they exchanged dialogues.

1998: Stephen Glass worked for The New Republic Magazine. He was the youngest staff member of a team that was composed of 15 journalists/editors.

He wrote articles that entertained people, made them laugh, and raised the eyebrows of those that he'd written about. He attracted a lot of attention, and was very much liked by his co-workers. Until Forbes stepped in and asked for his sources for "Hack Heaven."

"The in-flight magazine of Air Force One... and their star goes out and gets completely snowed by a bunch of hackers?! "

Pretty interesting since it happened in real life, Ive seen way too many "prestigious" newspapers having incorrect info on their articles, or glossied up facts, but fiction after fiction, printed out as fact? Hey, you only get that from tabloids right? You cant possibly get those on political magazines and newspapers! Guess again!

Theres some intense drama here, awesome shouting scenes, perfect acting, even the blinking of the eyes for when youre lying is taken into consideration, the office scenes were the ones that I could really relate to, the good boss, the stiff boss, the clown, the tough chic, the suck up. It was all very easy to sink into. And damn, what a way to ruin a career!

Okay, what?! Donald Sutherland was in this?? How come I never spotted him while I was watching it?

I liked a lot of lines on this one. The intro was somewhat winded, but it was an interesting angle shot anyway. (At the start where they show the "life" of a bullet).

Cage did a great job, I think if they had gotten someone else it wouldnt have had that certain touch which only Cage can give. Hawkes lines were pretty good too, but.. something was sort of a miss with his character and I dont really know what it is.

It bothers me a bit that they had to put a small amout of drug use on this tho. But I guess without the "bram-bram" and the coke sniffing this wouldnt have turned out as good. Meh, maybe Im just trying to look for a MOD movie that doesnt have anything to do with the other. (is that too much to ask? Is that impossible???) Hmmm.. anyway.. dammit who was Sutherland in here? How the heck did I miss that?!! --- Okay.. he only did the voice of one of the characters.

Not bad at all. The soundtrack was filled with U2 songs and it was quite fun to watch someone in the cast sing and 'dance' to it.

Tommy Lee Jones plays the role of the mad Irish bomber who just got out of prison and has decided to target members of the Boston Police bomb squad, it just so happens that Jeff Bridges is about to retire from the bomb squad and settle down. Forest Whitaker plays the fresh, cocky sob in the bomb disarmament unit.

An ok action flick riddled with just enough rubes, clues and explosions. Superb acting from Tommy Lee and Jeff Bridges.

Everyone loves a hero. But who is it gonna be? ;)

Christopher Walken plays the role of Vic, a reformed criminal whos luck seems to have run out of him. Before he spent time in the slammer, his specialty was cracking safes, now hes just trying to live an honest life, working as an automechanic. --- Vic is in a rut, he cant make ends meet, hes in debt and although tries to make things right, everything seems to be working against him.

Cyndi Lauper pops in every now and then throughout the movie as Vics girlfriend. She tries to offer Vic some help and advice but always gets turned down.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
A low key flick through and through, watching this reminded me of "The Savages" mainly because of the pace and mood of some of the scenes. Theres an ordinary feel about the whole set, but I guess thats what makes this film beautiful.

Im very suprised that Cyndi Lauper can actually act, she looks so mersmerizing too.

Well, I just saw it again. When I was little I watched this with my dad, it was so awesome back then, but watching this now made me re-rate it lower than 4. Most of the music used in the movie was pants, and aww poo I completely forgot that Sean Connery dies on this. I remember when I first watched this that my dad was explaining things to me about Sean Connery's character. I always thought that guy in white looked somewhat like David Bowie. (anyway he was cute :P) I cant believe this is a classic now. Well, this is still staying in my favorites. And besides, it has 'sentimental value" to me. But... Goodness.. "In every con, sooner or later, somebodys gonna ask the right questions."

A medium paced con film that should NEVER even be compared to Oceans Eleven. (O11 is fast paced and upbeat, this one just likes to take a power walk.) An all star cast ensemble that delivers just the right amount of ear catching dialogues. Starts of rather choppy but it picks up after a while.

So its nothing fresh, but its quite an interesting ride. Sure it has a few minor dents, but its also got a golden easter egg. Want to find out what it is? Watch it from start to finish.

I absolutely love the soundtrack! Christophe Beck, Fischerspooner, Groove Armanda, Zero 7 and Coldplay are just a few of the names on the OST. Check it out!!

"Fire It Up! Fire It Up! Fire It Up!!"

Just watched it again, after 14 years, back then I never really appreciated this cuz I was a bit too young to understand the story, but damn this move rocked! I dont want to spoil anything for those who havent watched this, but for some odd reason, watching this again (2008) reminded me of a lot of things...

I wonder if The Hardy Boys (WWE) got theirr signature move (the Swanton Bomb) and their getup from this movie. Hmmnn...

Damn this movie had it all, action, cheezy, heroics, vengeance, the damned heartbroken lover, fantasy, and even watching the stupid characters didnt give me a headache.

Im not going to rate this and compare it to todays generation of filmmaking cuz that would be unfair, so Im gonna rate this according to how films were made back then.

This one was rockin awesome!

The soundtrack was cool as hell too, ((STP, NIN, RATM, J&MC, The Cure))
This ones a gold classic!!

Factoid: The movie was based on a comic.

11:14 - Five different people in a small town find themselves in a whole lot of trouble after a series of random accidents take place.

The actors delivery and performances were effective enough, could hardly care for it being a low budget film, as far as dialogues went it was pretty average, but what impressed me much with this was how the story was put together, it had a track back style somewhat like "Crash" except that, this was sinfully fun.

Ive been trying to get a hold of this film for 2 years now, ended up ordering the thing online. I was expecting some sort of detective drama, crime and mystery film when I got this, instead I got something of a rarity.

"I am but a grain of sand. The meek shall not inherit the earth. The earth belongs to the bullies who do not care how they get to the top."

A film inspired by a true story about the life of an ordinary man who plotted to kill Nixon.

Another one of those sad stories of a person channeling his lifes frustration and dissillusionment from the government and the country he loves, to a specific individual.

Sean Penns acting is always something to see, the script was moderately smart, but I guess this just isnt my cup of tea.

It just felt flat out, dreary and dry. I was waiting for a the big breakthrough in the pacing of the film but no big drama ever came out of it, it never happened, and Im left hangging. I never even cried throughout the movie!

Seriously not recommended.

If you want to see Sean Penn in a tear jerking drama you're better off watching I am Sam.

The Dead Zone (1983,  R)
The Dead Zone
Chistopher Walken plays Johnny Smiths character almost to perfection in this 1983 film adaptation of Stephen King's The Dead Zone. However, like most film adaptations of books, the imagination and the amount of information the reader has about the story will always surpass book-based films.

The Dead Zone was one of my most favorite books while growing up and I dont know what I was thinking when I expected to see the whole story on film just like how I pictured it in my head years ago. Nonetheless, they did get certain parts right on the nail and Oh wow! Walken really is just one heck of an awesome actor!

Im just left wondering why Jeffrey Boam (the screenwriter) and Cronenberg decided to delete the history scene about Johnny playing Ice Hockey as a kid and that day at the carnival with the wheel of fortune, they skipped a whole bunch of interesting stories from the book which most S.King Fanatics are complaining about, but overall I think this was a pretty decent adaptation than the 2002 TV series (Which I also have but never bothered finishing because it was a total snoze).

It took me about 2 years to hunt this movie down and Im pretty happy to have found this rare thing at the video store (It was the last copy too!) --- If it werent for the great performances of Walken, Herbert Lom and Martin Sheen this movie wouldnt be worth collecting.

Get the book if you want to be truelly blown away, but watch the film to see the super-rific Walken in his Early years as an actor.

Non-related Sidenotes

1: Its funny how Walken continues talking about Ichabod Crane and Sleepy Hollow throughout patches of the film, I wonder if it was really included in the script or did he just mesh that in there, its like he really likes that story.

2: Time seems to be in love with Walken, Martin Sheen is 3 years younger than him.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Directed by Brett Ratner

So I got bored the other day and decided to go on an X-Men marathon.

The Last Stand was a bit disappointing, mainly cuz the issues that surrounded the making of this film really did reflect the on screen result. (But then again we probably wouldnt really have enjoyed Superman Returns if it wasnt for Singer). What is it about this film that really made me feel so blah while watching it? Oh.. right... Jean Grey/The Dark Phoenix. I just.. really didnt like her in this. Come on! The Dark Phoenix is supposed to be super awesome! Her character is supposed to side with no one! In here she was just this.. ich.. blah.. phooey character who stands around looking like duuhhh then turns everything into ashes later on.. lame-o.

By the way, I never bothered to watch the end credits before. That eety bit surprised me.

I was somewhat disappointed when I saw this movie, it was the most awful one theyve made of the RE trilogy!!! Ergh! Felt like they tried to finish this movie in a great big hurry and just cheaply computer edited like, what? 1/3rds of the movie? Pffft! And what was that crap giving Ashanti a darn part. Yichhh! Tsk!

What made this movie bearable and worth watching? 1. Millas swashbuckling and twirling kungfu moves, 2. Parts where Milla takes the back seat for Ali Larter. 3. Duuude, Oded Fehhhrr!!!!! lol!!!

Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration)
The original cast of Capcoms Resident Evil 2 returns!

Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield once again crosses paths, 7 years after Racoon City.

Resident evil game fanatics will surely love the additional characters and familiar faces that will come up in this full CGI movie. It follows thru what happened after the RE2 game story. Umbrella is no more, but like the virus, the evil has managed to get a hold of something else.

A couple of scenes in the movie actually reminded me of Final Fantasy, and even though RE is supposed to be horryfying, certain scenes were made to be funny, and some scenes were definitely placed in there to stir up its viewers emotions. If some scenes dont grab you at all, youll still have plenty to choose from.

This is definitely worth getting for your collection. 5 minutes from the start of the flick yould already be pumped up from the action, and if you havent fallen in love with one of the characters by the time the movie has finished, whoaa... Are you sure youre not infected?

Legend
One of Tom Cruises circa 80s films. Highly underrated by most "non flixster" critics. (well, it seems to be doing good here, but on other movie sites its ratings are down on the dumps.)

I only saw this lately, and for an old movie I was actually impressed with it.

I think the only fatal flaw they made with this one was that scene where everyone was saying "Kill Him". Its a fairytale movie, they ment it to be a kiddie/family movie, hence its supposed to be wholesome; but for the good guys to say those two lines again and again, well.. It kinda made my hair stand a bit. This had the potential to be in par with the Neverending Story and Labyrinth, but alas, they fell short.. I think its a film better suited for the older kids (Ages 9 and up).

Found Tim Currys El Diablo character to be a bit funny. I found David Bennets acting impressive! --- Im always a sucker for "puck-like-characters" (Puck-Midsummer nights dream);

"No! Damnation! Codfish and Cockles! Gammon and trotters! Rabbit noodles! Piddlepuddles and Kaka crumpets! Piss pofs and thunder mugs! Doodoo dammit! Dammit! Dammit! Riddlewiddler!" ~ Gump
(David Bennent)

Its not perfect really, there actually are some scenes where I found myself laughing at minute misplaced details, but its forgivable.

A good, easy movie to sink into after a stressful day at work, school or wherever.

Merlin's Apprentice (2006,  PG)
Merlin's Apprentice
Though I think nothing will ever outdo the first sequel of Halmark Channels Merlin (1998), Merlins Apprentice does an ok job of keeping the "die hard fanatics" of the Merlin fastened on their seats. The new characters found in this film does take a lot of getting used to as the casting seems to be "somewhat modernized" (I cant explain this very well), and the old characters they have retained (Merlin and the Lady of the Lake), has aged greatly, showing that the Old Camelot is no more, and people are still struggling to bring back the old glorious days of what it was, when King Arthur, along with his knights, and the Holy Grail was still in its midst.

Miranda Richardson - returns as an older version of the lady of the lake, but with a diffrerent attitude than of the 1998 character we know of. Its like she merged certain qualities of Mab and the Lady of the lake in this one.

Sam Neill - (who looks very much like my real dad) Always performs his role as Merlin flawlessly, although he plays his characters role as an aged old sorcerer that pops in and out of the movie from time to time, the story, as the title suggests, really isnt soley about Merlin now isnt it?

A 2 part Movie, where the 1st part will leave you screaming WHAT?! NOOO! Aww sh***ttt!! and the 2nd part will all be about the transformation of the new characters stepping up and taking the lead, to pursue building a NEW Camelot.

I like most parts of this movie as it makes me think about a lot of things, if youre a man with a vision, and youve established making that vision into a reality, are you free to go away once youve made your "dream" into a reality? And does everything youve created in this world vanish as soon as you leave?

I feel somewhat guilty for rating this only with 3 stars, although I enjoyed the watch and the thoughts that popped in my head while watching it, I feel like the producers and director of this film really did have a challenge with breaking thru that level of entertainment the first Merlin gave, but they really did do good with this, its just that, perhaps.. it just lacked a certain flair, to the point that it didnt leave much impact to its viewers. Dont get me wrong though, its still a pretty good movie.

I have a lot of questions about it tho, muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, so did they fight only for the strategic location of Jerusalem? Was it because it was the highest point in that location to worship??? How is Jerusalem "everything" for them???

Hmm, well a lot of you have recommended watching the directors cut, so I think Ill go ahead and look for it.

Love Merlin and all those stories that have to do with Camelot?

I think Ill try to get a copy of the book as well.

Snow White: A Tale of Terror (Snow White in the Black Forest) (1997,  R)
Snow White: A Tale of Terror (Snow White in the Black Forest)
If Nursery Rhymes were derived from certain events in history, why cant fairytales be glossied up stories of certain people from the past?

The fairy tale is over.

The Grim Brothers rewrites the classic childrens story into a more realistic, dark and horrifying life story of a young girl from a prestigious family.

Set in medieval Europe, the story starts off in the middle of winter while the Hoffmans are travelling home. Lady Lilliana Hoffman is with child and is weary from their previous engagement. As their carriage passes by the woods, the group is spotted by a pack of hungry wolves...

Sam Neil, Sigourney Weaver and Gil Bellows (Billy, from Ally McBeal) takes the house down with their great performance in this 1997 TV movie. I thought one of the seven 'dwarfs' looked like Chris Benoit, which was interesting and "personally funny" at the same time.

There were parts in the movie that I thought I was watching a theater play, and Monica Keena reminded me of Frodo in a dress... but then again I also hated Kristin Kreuk in "The Fairest of them All", so maybe its just me reacting to the chosen pretty one.

A dark, delectible syrup. An interesting story and an outstanding performance by Sigourney Weaver. Loved the shocking twists.

Extra extra! Read all about it!
"Weaver's critically-acclaimed performance earned her an Emmy Award-nomination as well as a Screen Actors Guild-nomination as Outstanding Lead Actress in a TV Movie.
The film also earned two Emmy nominations for Makeup and Costume Design."

Easter egg: Ever thought about how some people degrade others? Think about what yould call someone who yould find lowly.

Idiocracy
Late Post:
"You think Einstein walked around thinkin everyone was a bunch of dumb shits?"

I have mixed feelings about this movie.

For one it has managed to tackle a lot of the thoughts that Ive had about people and society, and how horribly gruesome and migrane triggering some people can be...

Whats cool? Whats in? Whats hip? Do the masses dictate what those things are? Or is this kind of thinking coming from someone with an inflated ego and a bit of superiority complex?

In the business sector, company take overs, product alterations and its impact to its consumers. Advertising propaganda that say "BIG! MONDO! MEGA! ULTRA! GIGANTIC! JUMBO! COLOSSAL! IS A WHOOPING GREAT THING!" -- "Its good for you! Buy It!" and people buy a chuck load of it... The bandwagon effect.

And theres those cretins who do nothing but procreate.. procreate.. and procreate...

"Now you know why he built that bomb."Referring to Einstein and the Atomic Bomb

From a director that created King of the Hill and Beavis and Butt-head, this movie had suprisingly exceeded my expectations. It grabs a hold of those thoughts you try to push at the back of your head and gives you this movie as a visual exaggeration of the world. The story says this is 500 years in the future, and a couple of flix buddies have stated that this is the possible future, I say, wake up... Its already happened, were already there.

Mike Judge's works had always had an odd taste to them. Idiocracy however, is half smart and half dull for a dark comedy. Its definitely another guilty pleasure movie, as the good things about the movie really isnt even visually IN the movie, but inside the viewers head!

The story is so high school, but if youre tolerant enough to get past thru some of the "crude" scenes in this film, you might just find yourself amused and mind raked afterwards.

Amadeus
Although this movie won oscars, I think this didnt portray Mozart and his bipolar side all that well, okay so the movie was made from another persons point of view, and at that time they didnt really know what bp was. This movie was taken from the point of view of person who was envious of Mozart, he wished he had "the gift" instead.

I give this a rating of lower than 4 because the story doesnt really pick up until after a good 2/3rds of the movie.
Although it sent me chills on my spine on how they portrayed Mozart when he composed his music, I know Ill never hear his compositions quite the same as before, because Ill be thinking that he was in a manic state when he composed them. What madness, what euphoric state of bliss he couldve been in, and people only really like it for its upbeat, unique style and how cheery it is to the ears.

One thing about this movie though, I have a more profound respect and appreciation for the works and the life of the celebrated mad genious that is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Hats off and a low bow to you my dear monsieur.

Why Im recommending this movie, is mainly cuz I want to know if you folks think it to be a gift, or a curse.

Valley of the Dolls
"You've got to climb Mount Everest to reach the Valley of the Dolls. Its a brutal climb to reach that peak."

Valley of the Dolls is the story of 3 women working in the different sectors of show business. It shows the glitz, the glamour, and the seedy underbelly of Broadway and the film industry, and oh.. ofcourse! Prescription drugs.

Well, for a 1967 film, I thought it was quite interesting. I thought a lot of Hollywood actors should re-watch this film to get their heads unclogged from their pill popping habits.

Patty Duke delivers a powerful, show stealling performance as Neely O'Harra.

Sharon Tate was so mezmerizing in this film, even the little flicker of her hands in the pool was so lovely to watch.

Barbara Parkins, I cant really say much of her film presence, I just thought that she was a plain beauty. I love her hairdo in this film! :P'

"The worst mistake that you can make is to think you're alive, when really you're asleep in life's waiting room."

Every once in a while, you get an epiphany about how the world works, but how much do you ponder about them? Have you ever asked yourself, how did 'words' come about? Do you ever think about wavelengths?

--- Or, how about, have you ever experienced dreaming within a dream? Are you aware of yourself when youre in a REM state? How about when youre having a nightmare? Do you try to control it, or do you just go and "float" along in that world thats inside your head?

The film is definitely worth watching. Its a double bombardment of visuals and ideology, if you dont want to think too much you can just look at the screen, but I suggest you enjoy both of the elements that the film offers.

The movie is in english, but with the kind of conversations that goes on in this film, I have to suggest that you view it with the subtitles on. --- And for anyone whos into multimedia, dont forget to check out the Special Features!

This is one of circa 90s highly underrated comedy films. An american remake of the original 1967 french movie.

A day of a life of an "ex" mobster boss. New York City - 1930s. Angelo "Snaps" Provolone promises that he would do anything to make his father "die a happy man". --- On the day that Snaps goes legit, the cops are alerted that something big is going on.

Snaps, who is "no longer Snaps" learns that his accountant is stealing from him, his daughter is not his daughter, his housemaid is leaving, and everything else seems to have gone crazy on his very first day as a legit Banker!

"Let's get started, I got until noon to look like a banker."

I consider Oscar to be one of Sylvester Stallone's best comedy acts in his entire movie career. This is also the movie where I first laid my eyes on Marissa Tomei, she really caught my attention in this movie with her portrayal of Lisa Provolone, her "brattiness and flirtyness" was just something I really liked as a kid. I've been a Marrisa Tomei fan ever since I saw her in this flick. Chazz Palmineri is just an added treat in this movie. Its always fun to watch him play a gangster anyway.

Stylish, smart, clean and witty! I most espcially loved the constant play of words used in this movie. Its amazing for an old film to have such a timeless effect, the characters and jokes in this movie never fails to make me laugh!

Highly Recommended!
A fun movie for everyone!

Loved it! Loved the soundtrack, loved the brutality, loved the casting, the scripts and the acting! The image slaps were somewhat good but I think not everyone who'd watch this would understand the concept behind it.

John McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scrubs), Aaron Eckhart (Thank You for Smoking), Jim Brown (who I always confuse with Vinnie Rhymes) and Matthew Modine also had little roles in this film.

Even though this was an all star cast, I.. dont really see myself watching this again, unless its on HBO or something, but Ill definitely be hunting down the songs on the soundtrack!

Its a movie that you have to atleast watch once. A few of Al Pacinos speeches were good. Cameron Diaz, mmm I think she did a pretty good job, its just that.. the ending confused me a bit, but then again Im not a sports nut.. so I wont really bother in completely understanding that little scene at the ending.

Pretty hard to review this movie since its separated into 3 parts, I had no clue what to expect from this movie when I bought it (its actually been stuck in the shelves for 2 months before I watched it), I found it rather impressive, catchy and enjoyable. I actually rated each part separately, it was 3, 3 1/2 and 4 stars, in progressive order :)

Started off rather chaotic, I thought I was going to slap myself for buying it after watching the 1st 5 minutes, my designing instincts have been very critical of some of the scenes, props and costumes. Its like, futuristic meets victorian classic, and I couldnt quite digest that, then I accepted the fact that it wasnt a high budget film. What got me to continue watching it was the story, and I wasnt disappointed at all. Infact, by the end of the movie I was telling myself.. Now why didnt I watch this sooner?! I liked the twins a lot, Muadibs son reminded me of "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones". Awesome!!! I have to get the other Dune Sagas now!
