A clever little romance. I didn't know Cher could act.

It has good characters, but no plot. The ending is terrible, but the penguins are awesome.

Happy Feet (2006,  PG)
Happy Feet 2.5 Stars
I wanted to love it so bad, but I got my hopes up too high. The story seemed great, and when the penguins are singing, so is the movie. But weird parts like the ending and stupid characters (Norma Jean, Gloria) drag Happy Feet down.

Transformers (2007,  PG-13)
Transformers 3.0 Stars
It wasn't great like I thought it might be, but what can you expect from a director like Michael Bay? I thought that it was loaded with laughs, but short on emotion. The story was a little weak. Everytime the movie cut away from the main characters, it was boring. The things that saved this movie were 1) the awesome-looking Autobots and Deceptions and 2) Shia LaBeouf's coolness.

Clerks (1994,  R)

Though the script is really hilarious, I found the acting in this movie to be horrid. I know that the budget was small, but come on...

I thought it was alright, but not every joke scores and the plot is kind of sketchy.

The Constant Gardener (2005,  R)
The Constant Gardener 2.5 Stars
A well-made film, but the plot is a little too confusing and complex for me to fully grasp at times. Great action, great direction, confusing plot.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) (2000,  PG-13)
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) 3.0 Stars
So deeply disappointing. It was supposedly one of the "best movies ever made" (as quoted by a critic on the cover). They must have watched very few movies. The story was okay... the characters were okay... and, to my suprise, the fight scenes were less than exhilariting. I wanted to like this sooooo much that I will still give it a positive rating.

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968,  G)
2001: A Space Odyssey 3.0 Stars
When I first watched it, I absolutely hated it. I wondered if my TV had broke or something. It was the weirdest and dumbest movie I had ever seen. But now I'm thinking about it, and I kind of like it. You don't need dialogue or action scenes to make an intriguing film. So I guess I want to see it again.

I heard that it was awesome. It wasn't. Sure... it's imaginative, but it's almost too weird. Call me crazy, but this is far from a masterpiece.

Not exceptional, but good. It was kind of boring, but, then again, I wasn't paying 100% attention to it.
