Transformers (2007, PG-13)
It wasn't great like I thought it might be, but what can you expect from a director like Michael Bay? I thought that it was loaded with laughs, but short on emotion. The story was a little weak. Everytime the movie cut away from the main characters, it was boring. The things that saved this movie were 1) the awesome-looking Autobots and Deceptions and 2) Shia LaBeouf's coolness. |

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (Wo hu cang long) (2000, PG-13)
So deeply disappointing. It was supposedly one of the "best movies ever made" (as quoted by a critic on the cover). They must have watched very few movies. The story was okay... the characters were okay... and, to my suprise, the fight scenes were less than exhilariting. I wanted to like this sooooo much that I will still give it a positive rating. |

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968, G)
When I first watched it, I absolutely hated it. I wondered if my TV had broke or something. It was the weirdest and dumbest movie I had ever seen. But now I'm thinking about it, and I kind of like it. You don't need dialogue or action scenes to make an intriguing film. So I guess I want to see it again. |
