Death Race (2008, R)
For those of you who like car chases/stunts then this will definitely be up your street, an interesting concept of a story which is inspired by the book ?Death Race 2000? and the original film with the same name. |

The Boston Strangler (2008, Unrated)
The Boston Strangler aka Albert De Salvo ?? This version of the film challenges the grounds that evidence on this case was based on and to this day has a non-closed status. |

The Hurricane (1999, R)
The story of The Hurricane touches me everytime I watch it or read about it. A superb performance by Washington, in one of the most publicised cases of wrongful imprisionment. Twenty-one years served out of his sentance for 3 murders he never comitted along with his socalled accomplis 'John Artis'. Whilst many campaign for his innocence, known and unknown, Carter manages to keep in the right mind by not accepting the treatment of a guilty man. |

True Crime (1999, R)
An easy watching film, but certainly not one of Eastwood?s best - Acting wise or Directing. There are many other films that share the theme of this one and in fact come across much better. The plot is predictable and I feel Eastwood tried far too hard to come across as the womanising anti-hero here. There was little emotion shown from the character on death row, which made the film lack any real punch. |

Buffalo 66 (1998, R)
Quite slow moving at times, but a very unique and original storyline with a lot of character. I am very impressed with the performance from Vincent Gallo in this film, who incidentally Directed and wrote this too. Christina Ricci was also great in this film. |

The Shawshank Redemption (1994, R)
One of the most outstanding films ever made. Brilliently written, well casted, by Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. |

Sommersby (1993, PG-13)
Based on the story "The Return of Martin Guerre" this is a beautifully and inticately woven tale that tests the strength of love and pride. A story with powerful emotions and a dilema which is a tragedy of it's time. |

In the Name of the Father (1993, R)
The tragic and touching tale of the wrongly imprisioned Guilford Four, plus others, is brought to life by Director Jim Sheridan, with a first class cast, led strongly by Daniel Day-Lewis and Pete Postlewaite. |

Frenzy (1972, R)
Hitchcock was definitely a Director ahead of his time, just imagine the kind of films he would be directing now if he could. |

12 Angry Men (Twelve Angry Men) (1957, Unrated)
An incredibly clever film, not only was this low budget due to most of the film being filmed in the jury room and that's a difficult thing to achieve and pull it off, but the actual way that evidence was pulled apart and re-examined was genius and scary in that, it makes you wonder how many people have slipped through the system in this way. |

The Wrong Man (1957, Unrated)
The appeal of this one of course is that is based on a true story. Wrongly accused stories always play on the fears of the viewer in a 'what if?' kind of way, but when it's backed up by a true story, then thoughts and fears are realised and make great, yet uncomfortable watching. |
