I expected something marine from the title, I do not fault the actors/acting It won Sundance awards! I enjoyed watching even the painfully realizstic anguish both husband & wife felt...but (AS CRAIG S. SO APTLY PUT IT IN HIS MOVIE REVIEW BELOW, " shockingly real performances, but I couldn't grip onto the film because of these self-absorbed characters..") SELF ABSORBED! says it!! HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT OF DIVORCE: I hope some of you WILL read this review...and that others of you (who do know me) will STILL continue to share your moviecomments with me?? My THOUGHTS? DIVORCE? Why? Does no 1 appreciate each other? respect family? Dad sleeps with son's girlfriend? Again why? OK I DO NOT ADVOCATE ABUSE OR STD TRANSMISSION thoughtlessly to your partner? Can you still love someone who gives you HIV? Syphillis? warts? 50% divorce rate..could 20 percent occur becuz we are delusional?Even allowing 3% for gays/bis & 2% for celebrities in the public eye, personally I have adopted the extreme policy of never date (let alone sleeping with) friends' ex-husbands, co-workers,etc I remain solo (separated from an ex-junkie & cheat for YEARS!!) YET I RESPECT MARRIAGE!! LOL I respect friendsships. Friendships remain even when relationships wane! Why can't we share our lives together? Is the our differences in values? The 60's & 70's had some GREAT LESSONS TO OFFER!!

A worth see! Touching portrait of rural UK life with a son with cerebral palsy. Folksy (wonderful!) wonderfully homespun dialogue........a superb performance!
