This is, it seems, the first movie adapted from a blog - and it really works. The characters are interesting, the food looks delicious, and the film is surprisingly pro-marriage. It was also nice seeing Julie and her husband use the same Fiestaware that we do.

An interesting gloss on the ancient quest to find The Perfect Knight. But I'm sorry to say that committing adultery disqualifies you from attaining perfection.
As Father Brown says, "I can believe the impossible, but not the improbable." I'm happy to accept that alien ships can rise out of the earth and kill millions of people, but I cannot believe that a man can drive at full speed along a highway full of stationary cars, and not have an accident.
