Déjà Vu. The exact same was done about Yehudi Menuhin's life. So what's new? A vulgar accumulation of easy tricks. Worthy if you need to feel revolted and spit your anger against something. Low psychology and not subtle by any mean.

The approach of subcultures is hatsy, superficial and rough, the characters' psychology is basic and irrational.
In addition to being simplistic, the style is very politically correct. The pseudo-messages driven are evidences, opening opened doors, stating blatant truths all the time and delivering predictable morals.
Aimed to be powerful and educative, it's finally just an entertaining show for the masses, to have something to be revolted at.

Ragtime 3.0 Stars
The black struggle illustrated through a singular and poignant case. Its treatment remains fair and subtle, no excessive voyeurism about one's exploitation/suffering or other easy tricks to "shock" and "revolt" the audience. The man's determination is somehow fascinating
