A Walk in the Clouds (1995,  PG-13)
A Walk in the Clouds
Such a subtly beautiful movie. It wasn't just about romance but it's about the unexpected things life throws your way. When two people meet and they have a similar thirst for life and find beauty in each other, it's just meant to be. As long they can trust one another to keep the other safe. To me, it was also about family, acceptance and belonging. Yeah, I think the movie could have had more depth in some areas but it had its strong points. I found the scenery to be so beautiful too. Oh and some traditions shouldn't be changed they hold such beauty and history. It's great! I loved the little small parts in the movie where they explained their history. Good movie.

A Walk to Remember (2002,  PG)
A Walk to Remember
Aw. I really like these kinds of movies where someone changes their life. It just goes to show you how for one, I suppose, with love all things are possible, two having faith (not necessarily in a religious sense) can help you do anything and sometimes we meet very unique people in our lives (friends, lovers etc.) who shape our lives in a phenomenal way that it just cannot be described in words. I must admit, I got a little teary-eyed when Shane West went to his dad to thank him and was crying his eyes out. I was trying to think at that moment, " how would I feel if the love of my life was about to die (moreover, there was nothing I could do but accept it)? ". He did a really good job playing his role/character because sometimes when actors do a really weepy scene, it just looks so FAKE!! Not this time though *tear*. It was a great movie.

It's a little sad to know the real life of the woman who wrote such wonderful novels. To know she didn't have anything her characters did. This was a beautiful movie.

Griffin & Phoenix (2006,  PG-13)
Griffin & Phoenix
When watching this movie I was not expecting Phoenix's (Amanda Peet) situation. I cannot imagine two people finding each other after a lifetime of mediocre events just to lose each other. The most amazing moments of their lives were spent together. That's what they remembered, the good times. If this movie was actually happening to someone I cannot imagine what their life would be like. I certainly wouldn't take the news with as much calm as they both did. To accept you are going to die and you haven't even had the chance to do all the things you wanted to in life ... just heartbreaking.
In the beginning of the movie, I could not understand why Phoenix refused to get involved with Griffin ( Dermot Mulroney). People say all the time you only have so much time to live your life and you never know when even that limited time can be taken away from you. You need to make the most of it. I could understand later her desire to say away from him perhaps in fear that she might finally have something in her life she would be afraid of losing, afraid of leaving behind. Even Griffin impressed me with his attitude towards death. We all, after all, fear it to some magnitude. Yet, even with the ease they both accepted their inevitable deaths they also gave in to unimaginable anger at their fate at one point or another. I think I particularly appreciated the fact the ending is not marked with their deaths. It is marked with the memories they both shared, the time they both spent together and the amazing connection they both had. It is not often we meet someone who totally understands who we are in the threads of our soul. Someone who understands our deepest desires. Someone who can read our soul like a book off a shelf. To Griffin that was Phoenix. To Phoenix that was Griffin.

It was a lot like, A Walk to Remember, but I still enjoyed it very much. Imagine being in a position where you think you've got it all figured out and then someone comes along to change all that. To change all you think you know; all that you thought was good for you. Sometimes in life we need people to show us the way when we think we've found happiness when they truth really is, we've only just felt a part of it. I could never imagine finding someone so fantastic to only lose them. Great movie!

P.S. I Love You (2007,  PG-13)
P.S. I Love You
I'm strange with movies. At times, a movie comes out and I want to see it so badly but I don't get around to it. When I finally do, either it's really good or it's really bad. I am so glad I waited until I actually wanted to see this movie. Sometimes it really makes you wonder what it's all about. I can't imagine going through what the character Holly went through, how do you move on from someone so wonderful as Gerry? I guess the point was that you move on, no matter what. This movie moved me. It really made me think about my life, despite the fact that no tragic event has taken place in my life (lately!). I could see the joys, the sorrow and the transformation Holly went through. If we could all be as lucky as to find that special someone who understands us more than we understand our self. If only, love was so grand for all of us. It was a wonderful movie with funny moments, frustrating moments and moments of truth. Here's to life and to love!

The Other End of the Line (2008,  PG-13)
The Other End of the Line
I liked this movie. Nice to see no matter the culture people can find something in common. Plus, I liked how she was unwilling to give up her career just to marry some guy she barely knew. No one is going to be happy if they give up who they are to be with someone they barely know. The chances of things working out in that situation are very slim. In the end, she found a guy who liked her for who she was and they both jumped over various cultural hurdles to be with each other. Accepting the other regardless of the drawbacks.

Unfinished Sky
One of those rare movies showing you the beauty of emotions and the fact there are no limitations concerning it. Even if you do not speak the same language two people can come to know the deepest parts of a persons soul. Also, it showed sometimes in our lives we need to forgive ourselves for things in the past. The key is letting go of it all and fighting for the future. John realized he had a good life when Tahmeena came into it. She showed him the beauty in life and he gave her safety and love. Both the actors did an amazing job! Must see movie.

When Harry Met Sally (1989,  R)
When Harry Met Sally
I'd always heard of this movie and I suppose it is considered a bit of a classic. It was an amazing movie and I loved it! It really showed realism in terms of love and life. The kind of relationships you forge over a course of time never fade like some of the love at first sight type of relationships. Also, I think they did a great job at showing how most people don't know a good thing when they have it right in front of their face. Billy Crystal did a great job I think it was one of his funniest roles as an actor and I'm a great fan of Meg Ryan so I can't say anything else there. Awesome!

Watching this movie just reminds me of good times and falling in love. Haha. I love this movie and I could watch it over and over again. Paul Bettany and Kristen Dunst had fantastic chemistry in the movie. They seemed so real as a couple.
