Dazed and Confused (1993, R)
This is one of those films that reminds me of my high school days. Except for the paddle spanking. I never had that during my days of school. With a great talented young cast you see many in this film before they became big name stars. A great simple story of high school and hanging with friends. The films has a awesome soundtrack to a great look of the 70's clothes and style. One of those films that you could easily relate to the characters. Just a great film. |

Road Trip (2000, R)
This is a very funny film. Sort of a new age Animal House college film. The comedy can be crude at times. But is still funny. The film has a great young cast. Tom Green, Amy Smart, Breckin Meyer, Sean William Scott, D.J.Qualls and Paulo Costanzo are all great in this. The film is just a crazy fun adventure. I took road trips but nothing like this. With a fun story and characters makes this a good film. Worth watching. |

School Ties (1992, PG-13)
This is a good film. Has a great young cast of big name stars before they were well known. Your typical story of someone different then the rest of the norm and trying to fit in due to their race or religion. Also a story of boys learning what it takes to be a man. Brendan Fraser is excellent in this. So is the rest of the cast. A film worth watching. |

Save the Last Dance (2001, PG-13)
I am not usually a fan of romance dance films but this turned out to be quite good. First off the film actually had a good story and characters. Great performances from Julia Stiles and Sean Patrick Thomas. The story was interesting and enjoyable. The film seemed to have that drama and romance story interwoven nicely. Worth checking out. |

Back to School (1986, PG-13)
This is a classic 80's film . Rodney Dangerfield is very funny in this. Basically a film about a rich father who goes back to college to get closer to his son. I love the end of the movie with the diving scene. Hilarious. Sure this isn't a great film but Rodney delivers the laughs and I have always like this film. |

Saved! (2004, PG-13)
I was quite surprised how good of a film this was. Has a good cast and a great story. A good teen comedy with a great message of how life is never black and white and how religion does not always give the correct answers to life and people. Mandy Moore, Macauly Culkin and Jena Malone give great performances in this film. Worth a watch. |

National Lampoon's Animal House (1978, R)
The movie that started all of the college comedy movies later on. This film set the standard of these type of films. Crude yet funny comedy. The film had a great young cast. John Belushi stood out the most in this film. He was great in this. This is one of those fun films not to be taken to serious. It knows it is a goof ball adventure of some college frat guys and girls. A classic. |

Old School (2003, R)
This is a very funny film. Crude humour but very funny. It is basically a film about a group of guys wanting to relive their college days. Also sort of takes your typical college film of the students against the evil Dean of the college. Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn are all funny in this. Plus a good supporting cast in this makes for a good film. Overall a fun funny film. |

American Pie (1999, R)
This is a classic teen comedy. Sure there has been dozens like these type of films. But with such a great young cast and story this film was above all those other ones that were made. The film is funny through out. Never a dull moment. You even can relate to the characters as a whole. Typical thought process from most teenagers. SEX! Sure the film also deals with friendship, life and family. But overall this turned out to be a funny teen comedy. The best of the series. |

The Breakfast Club (1985, R)
A classic from the 80's. The film has a great young cast and a good story. The story is about a group of high school students who are very different from each other but have to spend detention all day on a Saturday. They make the best of it and in the end respect each other more by the end of the day. This was one of the most original and fun teenager film from the 80's. Just a plain fun film. This will always be a classic. |

Superbad (2007, R)
This is one of the best teen comedies to come out for a while. The basic story of three teenagers out to get alcohol for a party in a attempt to have sex with some girls they like. This leads into many funny adventures and situations. The film is full of your typical sex, drugs and fart jokes. But it works for this type of film. Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are excellent as the three main teenagers in the film. Got to love the name McLovin. Also Bill Hader and Seth Rogen as the two police officers are quite funny in this. Overall a great teenage comedy. |

Sky High (2005, PG)
This movie was better than I thought going in. Was funny in parts. Great for kids who like super heroes. Also funny for comic fans. The movie made more for kids 8-14 years old. Has a good cast with Kurt Russell, Kelly Preston and Bruce Campbell. Bruce was funny as the gym teacher. A good movie for the family. |

Can't Hardly Wait (1998, PG-13)
This is your typical teen flick about the most popular and beautiful girl in school who falls for the geek. But it still works. The story is very funny at times. Plus this film has a great young cast. Many faces in this that become big movie and television stars later on. A solid movie worth watching. |

PCU (1993, PG-13)
This is a hidden classic from the 90's. Sort of a 90's homage to Animal House. Jeremy Piven is great in this. He had me laughing through out the film. Plus David Spade was the great dorky villain of the film. With your typical story of a frat house vs the dean. But it still works. This is a funny film. If you liked Animal House or Old School then check this movie out. |

Summer School (1987, PG-13)
A classic from the 80's about a bunch of students and a teacher who spend the summer in school. The teacher tries to make sure that every one of the kids pass the summer course. A solid teen flick which also deals with the teachers personal life. Mark Harmon is quite good in his role as the teacher. The film does have some funny scenes and a decent story. Worth checking out for a one time watch. |

Grosse Pointe Blank (1997, R)
This was a very original and neat film. Bascially about a hitman who goes to his high school reunion. During this he rekindles a former relationship and has to perform another hit. This is a dark comedy. Some very funny moments in it. The film has a great supporting cast. But the film stars John Cusack as the hitman. This has to be one of his best roles I ever seen him star in. The hitman was a great character. The movie overall was solid. Well worth checking out. |
