Thanks to the realistic and familiar settings the story felt very very real. And for a monster movie that's kinda scary if you think about it. It left me still shaky the next a few days whenever I was in a dark back stairs or when the train was passing through the tunnel. Of course a big round of plause to the engenious if a little controversial handy cam idea. It could make you sick to your stomaches, literally. My sympathies go to thoes who had to run to the toilet to throw up ten minutes into the story, including me friend.

Not your typical Kar Wai Wong flow of narrative but nonetheless had his trademarks subtly embedded. One could enjoy it as a 'normal', almost 'sweet' lover story.
With a surprisingly good Norah Jones.

movie wise it was rather dreadfully done but kenichi san was just as good as the last two if not better.

I feel sorry to say so but seems Heather Graham is going down the same road as Winona Ryder and alike. Sad, really.

among too many releases of blockbusters something so small can be easily overlooked, just like the city of Bruges itself, whose beauty and charm start to emerge once you allow yourself to settle in and let the story wash over you.

when the sound is so loud, action sequences so many and FX so dazzling there is little room left for you to care about the plot or anything that is going wrong.

any early trial version of the later, much better written and publicised 'Definitely, Maybe'?

A show cast of great performances from some of Japan's most populate and talented artists. The bizarre world inside a mental clinic is in fact no more strange and at times more loveable than the one outside.

one too many ordinary high school boy/last super hero to save the world story with cute female characters waiting to be rescued. however one has to admit this type of stories come from a long time Japaneses tradition, which, just when you thought has started to change suddenly jumps on you to prove its profound cultural root. ( i think i just went too deep for an anime)

if the kids in the ghost house are this pretty and the place is full of candies, i don't have a problem being trapped forever.
