Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991,  R)
2
The Godfather, Part II (1974,  R)
3
Aliens (1986,  R)
Aliens
The lone survivor of the original film, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) is back. Her ship returns to earth 57 years later and no one believes her about aliens. That is until a space station isn't from for awhile. Ripley and a crew of marines is then sent to find out why.

Aliens is bigger and better than the original with not just one alien but a bunch. It's a great sequel with breathtaking action and Sigourney Weaver in top form. You also have a good list of supporting actors like Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen.
4
Spider-Man 2 (2004,  PG-13)
Spider-Man 2
A little over-rated but still was much better done than Spiderman 3. It has more going for it, a lot more.
5
X2 (2003,  PG-13)
6
The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight was simply incredible. Spiderman 3 was a disappointment after all the wait. The Dark Knight however is even better than I hoped for. It takes Batman and the villains seriously. So you don't get shots of Batman's butt or him saying awful lines, like "I don't fit in at a family pic-nic", or "it's the car, chicks dig the car". While the villains don't act like something from the 60's tv series.

The Dark Knight has Batman (Christian Bale), Gordon (Gary Oldman) and Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart) teaming up to bring down criminals. They aren't doing a bad job; a new criminal named the Joker (Heath Ledger) just might be more than they can handle though. He's a twisted and creepy villain with no compassion for anyone. He threatens to kill a different person until Batman reveals who he is. Which starts to become too much for Bruce Wayne since people he cares about start to become targets.

The movie is an ingenious masterpiece with many twists and turns. You never know what to expect from the movie. Despite being a super hero film it also works as a thriller/mob movie. Sometimes I even had a hard time convincing myself that Michael Mann wasn't the director lol.

Comic fans should still be pleased though. Heath Ledger is amazing as the Joker and it's sad that he won't have a long career of playing the part. He's creepy, twisted, funny and menacing in the role. What also helps the movie is that everyone else is in top form as well. While Christopher Nolan knows how to handle having more than one villain, unlike Sam Raimi with Spiderman 3. He does have a task ahead of him though to try and top this with a 3rd film. I don't see that happening but I can't wait for more either way.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989,  R)
Lethal Weapon 2
I love this one, the action is great and Gibson and Glover's chemestry is even better than it was in the first.

Joe Pesci is funny in his first appearance in a Lethal Weapon film as well. He wasn't that needed in the 3rd and 4th films though. I also thought the Russian woman was adorable. I can watch this one again and again without getting tired of it.

Die Hard 2 (Die Hard 2: Die Harder) (1990,  R)
Die Hard 2 (Die Hard 2: Die Harder)
This one is probably the most under-rated of the series. It has good action and the plot isn't bad either even if it's not as original as the first film.

This time, John McCaine has to stop terrorists who have taken control over an airport. His wife just happens to be on one of the planes .
9
Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) (1981,  R)
Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior)
Mad Max movies kick ass and this one kicks the most. It has the best action and the best story.
10
Scream 2 (1997,  R)
11
Babe: Pig in the City (1998,  G)
12
Toy Story 2 (1999,  G)
13
Evil Dead 2 (1987,  R)
14
American Pie 2 (2001,  R)
15
The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear (1991,  PG-13)
The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear
This movie is just as classic as the original. I can't ebelive that so many people at flixster gave the first one low ratings. It's as much of a comedy classic as airplane!

Plus this sequel is certainly better than Airplane 2 lol. The dinner scene at the White House is hilarious and there's many laughs that follow.
16
Superman II (1981,  PG)
Superman II
A sequel that's surprisingly just as good as the original.
