Clerks (1994,  R)
Clerks
Kevin Smith's low budget debut comes up trumps delivering some very funny dialogue from a pair of slacker geeks and other oddball characters including Jay and Silent Bob. A rough diamond, worthy of cult status.
2
Mallrats (1995,  R)
Mallrats
Lacks the lo-fi cool of Clerks and goes for more slapstick laughs, however, there's still plenty of good lines and frankly, the movie stands by Jason Lee's performance in what is essentially the sidekick role. Not quite as good on repeat viewings as first time around but a worthy addition to the View Askew-niverse.
3
Chasing Amy (1997,  R)
4
Dogma (1999,  R)

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001,  R)
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Could Jay and Silent Bob, arch scene stealers from previous Kevin smith movies carry a whole movie themselves? Yes, and a good one it is too, packed to the rafters with dick and fart jokes, in-jokes to previous films, plenty of hilarious cameo appearances and a huge amount of loveable stupidity from our heroes.

An Evening with Kevin Smith (2001,  Unrated)
An Evening with Kevin Smith
Smith proves to be a consumate and hilarious raconteur as this compilation film of his tour of American university campuses (campi?) proves. A must-see for fans of his movies, this also shows that there are some hugely scary members of the audience that need to be kept a close eye on in future, for all our sakes...
7
Jersey Girl (2004,  PG-13)
8
Clerks II (2006,  R)
Clerks II
A fabulous sequel, even more foul-mouthed and outrageous than the first movie whilst being rather touching at the same time. After the slick Hollywoodness of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks II is a more low key return to Smith's indie roots and it works well for it.
