My 1st Tamara Jenkins' movie, her 2nd movie. The Savages is surprisingly insightful, delightful, depressing, extremely funny...It doesn't only talk about the struggles between the dad and his kids, but also the struggles they had, especially the sister, played by Laura Linney(who did a REALLY great job as always). Philip S. Hoffman was funny and very great too. Very Alexander Payne too(I believe 1 of the producer).

Igby=Holden. It's funny, it's sad, it's powerful, it's rebellious, and it's Catcher in the Rye. Great acting and writing. Seems like every good movies features Coldplay's Don't Panic(ex:Garden State). And I have to say I fucking hated Ryan Phillippe's character.

Juno
(2007, PG-13)
It's a movie about growing up, refusing to grow up, and being who you are. I absolutely LOVED it! There are many parts I just couldn't stop crying. Ellen Page's performance really was worth Gloden Globe nominated! And Michael Gere was just adorable. This movie, with great music, was written by Diablo Cody, possiblly the hottest writer that's out there right now! It was smart, well-developed characters and witty, funny, just clever! Although I really liked Thank You For Smoking, but Jason Reitman certainly improved a lot. And this is maybe the 1st movie that made me like Jennifer Garner!

Veryyyy funny and simple short story. "Where the fuck is Bruges? It's a shithole", but seriously, it's sooo fucking beautiful! The story was simple and it happened in 3 days only, interesting characters and a very not Hollywood ending. There are moments that brought me to tears but at the same time burst into laughters. Colin Farrell was soooo cute! And it's about time for Ralph Fiennes to do a intense AND funny role! Pure entertainment but with a good story and great acting, plus the beautiful view in Bruges = worth seeing!

Some parts were a bit too slow, but it was a cute, meaningful and haliarious movie! Best ending ever! I think Superbad represents many teenager's dreams, to become a super badass overnight from being a super uncool nerd. I felt soooo happy for them when McLovin was having fun with the coooooooolest cops, and when Evan and Seth got the ladies!

Very simple, awkwardly funny, and sweet movie. The soundtrack was greattt too. There were several very interesting shots, including some which are exactly like the scenes you would see in a typical Indian movie.

I LOVE Julie Delpy! I love her as an actress, as a musicien, and as a director and writer, I love her honesty, which shows in her 1st directorial feature film 2 Days in Paris. The dialogue is soo smart an so Delpy. The differences between French and American culture, the politics, the food, the ex-lovers, the sex, and the parents. All sum up these two funny, neurotic and charming characters Marion and Jack. I love all the movie references as well. The ending was predictable and could have been cheesy, but with Delpy's narration, the film made us feel something and ended beautifully.

To be honest, it's been a while since I saw this...but I rememeber Allen showed the radio days perfectly, with enthusiasm and funny family moments.

Oh Spike Jonze meets with John Malkovich with a movie about Malkovich(s)=amazing film. John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, and I guess Catherine Keener too(who looks extremely sexy here) all played some very different characters. And the great John Malkovich plays himself well, at least it's himself in public, maybe not his true self, but how-the-public-sees-him self, and plays Cusack's character as well. The scene when he enters his own mind, with him speaking Malkovich and playing all different people was one of the most weird and well done bizarre scene ever. Well written with many dark humor, Jonez managed to creat a great story with so many things going on, but he gets everything right and did not rush it. I felt sooooooo bad for Cusack's character at the end...AND Malkovich too...AND the little kid...

It's got 1 of the most beautiful lines I've ever heard in films: "Maurice: For most men, the woman's body is the most beautiful thing they will ever see. Jessie: What's the most beautiful thing a girl sees? Do you know? Maurice: Her first child." It's humorous, well-acted and so touching with a simple idea.

Jennifer Westfeldt and Heather Juergensen co-wrote and co-starred in this sweet, cute, funny, smart and well-written movie. It deals with many issues about love, age, sexuality and family. But they did not focus on those details which would have killed the light comedy-ness. This would be a great lesbian for straight chicks. The ending wasn't what I wanted, but it's still a very satisfying ending and it made me happy.

Steve Carell=fantastically funny. Anne Hathaway=too fuckin hot. Surprisingly actually a comedy with much action and great effects, the actors really put effort in their roles and you can tell from Anne's banging tight bod! Great summer flick

A naive, genuine, and simple plot. There are cute funny moments with loving characters played by a good cast. (I wish everyone's that nice in real life...) The ending is not what I wanted, but it's realistic and simple. Plus, simply seeing Heather Graham and Bridget Moynahan kiss and doing a dance from Till the Clouds Roll By are enough to keep me happy for a while!

A combo of Harold and Maude + Igby Goes Down(The Catcher in the Rye), Charlie Bartlett is the man! This film, with its unique humor and wittiness, showed how teens struggle their way through high school and the peer pressure they receive along the way.

Phat Girlz is a very well-done comedy considering it a low budget movie. It's funny and inspirational. I think it's the first time I see a film where Mo'Nique gave a powerful performance, not just funny, but emotional and showed how confidence and self-realization can change one person. Phat Girlz speaks to all women, telling them you are all beautiful, be confident and live your life fully, and dont care about the other bitches who judge you by how you look

This film is filled with typical Woody Allan themes: art, love, sex, and philosophy, but it was filmed in such a exotic, sexy, and totally different way from his other comedy films(which all just happened to set in New York...) Fantastic soundtrack, beautiful cinematography, and still starring Scarlett Johansson, but with Rebecca Hall(who did a great job), and of course Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz, who perfected the film with their dramatic, passionate, and psychotic relationship. The film showed how different relationships had to work under certain circumstances, and how the same people who have the same passion could go different ways because of how they look like life.

The hilarious Anna Faris, as the lead, follow by a cast full of gorgeous girls, starred in this simple, funny, sweet and stereo-typical story about a retired playboy bunny helping a failed sorority girls to find confidence. Although the plot is flawed, it had a simple and good message. And it was just an enjoyable movie to watch(especially with so many pretty girls.)

First of all, Alice Taglioni was REALLY hot! Now about the film. It's a simple story about a poor, not too handsome but optimistic valet and a rich, bitter and selfish owner of a successful company, caught between a gorgeous model. Nice and sweet ending. LOVED Kristin Scott Thomas' character!

Overacted performances from a great cast, fantastic soundtrack, a simple plot with stupid yet complex characters, and brutally hilarious.

Since the original is one of my all-time favorites, I have to judge this remake VERY seriously. But to my surprise, Diane English successfully transformed the story that's set in a modern setting, with appropriate(by that I meant how some of the women talk today and what they talk about) language, and brought up controversial topics today. The cast, without a doubt, did a great job, especially with Debra Messing playing Edie(perfect role for her!). English kept the none-male actors tradition, although it's filmed in color , she didn't let that affect the legendary fashion show scene, instead, she used the strongest colors of all time- black, white, and red, as Mary starts showing her collection. Yay! Great remake! Thumbs up for Diane English and her cast!
