School of Rock (2003,  PG-13)
School of Rock
It would be a shame if only kids went to see this film. Adults who can still plug in to their inner rocker, if only to play air guitar, will love it, too!!!!
Playing a washed-up rocker turned substitute teacher, Jack Black unleashes enough comic energy in School of Rock to fill a stadium i loved it!!!

Meet The Fockers
Now that Greg Focker is "in" with his soon-to-be in-laws, Jack and Dina Byrnes, it looks like smooth sailing for him and his fiance, Pam. But that's before Pam's parents meet Greg's parents, Bernie and Roz Focker. The hyper-relaxed Fockers and the tightly-wound Byrneses are sooooo mismatched from the start, and no matter how hard Greg and Pam try, there is just no bringing their families together.

The Banger Sisters
Suzette (Goldie Hawn) and Vinnie (Susan Sarandon) were groupies in their heyday, partying with the likes of Frank Zappa (who dubs them the Banger Sisters), Jim Morrison, and virtually every other rock star and roadie that passed through Los Angeles. Twenty years later, Suzette is a bartender who finds herself too old to stay in the Los Angeles rock scene. Distraught, she heads to Phoenix in search of her former best friend, picking up neurotic and quirky Harry (Geoffrey Rush) at a gas station along the way. The Cider House Rules (1999,  PG-13)
The Cider House Rules
well-paced and powerful storytelling in this movie. There are no explosions or chases or catastrophes here... just a story of a boy, the orphanage he grew up in, and the relationships in his young life. The issues in this film are profound, and dealt with superbly. It is a sweet story that doesn't feel the need to rush the viewer from one plot point to another. I highly recommend 'The Cider House Rules' loved this!
28
Calendar Girls (2003,  PG-13)
Calendar Girls
based on a true story. Helen Mirren and Julie Walters star as Chris and Annie, who are bored and spurred into action when the latter's husband (John Alderton) dies of leukaemia. To raise money for medical research,at the hospital where he was treated, the women persuade their 50 something pals to strip for a saucy charity calendar. Though initially reluctant ("No front bottoms!" begs one), the ladies agree, unwittingly creating an international phenomenon which plunges them into the media spotlight. this british film didnt exactly rock my world but it is a light hearted comedy!
29
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
30
Fred Claus (2007,  PG)
Fred Claus
It didnt take me long to enjoy this movie. In fact, it only took a few minutes to watch as character actor Vince Vaughn threw himself into a headlong run being chased by several Salvation Army Santa Clauses, and to watch as genius veteran actor Paul Giamatti waddled into frame in a fat suit, to firmly convince me that this at least had every chance of being a total comedy riot!!!!
And theres a lot to like about this movie there are plenty of funny bits. For instance, when Nick introduces Fred to the Ten Most Naughty list, pause the DVD and read the descriptions. Some of these are priceless, if a little out of order. Just to show you what I mean, and spoil just a couple, I really dont see how wore same underwear for seventeen days qualifies you as MORE naughty than someone who poisoned fourth grade class hamster?. Youd think murder puts you ABOVE poor hygiene on the naughty list, but hey..... Thats Santas prerogative, I guess.
4 star rating for a nice light hearted movie

Into the Blue (2005,  PG-13)
Into the Blue
this kewl action flick,is about a desperate group of criminals, who track down some divers, who while diving, discovered a sunken cargo plane, loaded with narcotics.
"Into the Blue" is, of all things, an adventure story. Not a high-powered thriller with goofy special effects, but a story about people and hazards and treasure and love.
starring "the beautiful"paul walker and the equally beautiful jessica alba.the scenery is amazing, both above and below the water line.i enjoyed this movie filmed in the carribean and rated it a 4

Mr. Brooks (2007,  R)
Mr. Brooks
Earl Brooks (Kevin Costner) has been voted Portland's Man of the Year. Unbeknownst to everyone, he's also the mysterious "Thumb print Killer," a serial murderer who has been active on-and-off for a long time.by day he is a devoted, husband, father and business-man,by night,a serial killer!!!! Earl hasn't killed in two years, but the hunger, represented by his demonic alter-ego, Marshall (William Hurt), has become too strong to resist. So, after dropping his wife (Marg Helgenberger) home after the Man of the Year banquet, he goes out for a little extracurricular fun. This time, however, Earl makes an uncharacteristic mistake. The window drapes of his victims' apartment are open when he commits the murder, and a voyeur (Dane Cook) photographs him in the act. Meanwhile, police detective Tracy Atwood (Demi Moore), who has long investigated the Thumb print Killer, suspects her previously infallible quarry may have slipped up.
The story throws a couple of unexpected obstacles in Earl's path. The character is so meticulous that it seems impossible that he could be caught unless he wants someone to stop him, and this possibility is explored. It's interesting to note that, despite the brutality of Earl's acts, he's actually a sympathetic character..
my thoughts on this movie? excellent acting and a brillant story-line, loved it!!!
