Karla (2006, R)
Like many films of true crimes and murders there is a tendency for them to be overtly analyzed when the full details are not quite certain of e.g. When events are acted in a assumed manner without direct commentary, all with a touch of artist license for dramatic or chilling effect. |

The Condemned (2007, R)
Although not an untirely well delivered movie, it has some really great aspects and cool fights and explosions. |

The Reaping (2007, R)
"You wanna talk plagues, lets talk plagues. In 1400BC a group of nervous Egyptians saw the Nile turn red. But what they though was blood, was actually an algae bloom, which killed the fish which prior to that had been living off the eggs of frogs. Those uneaten eggs turned into record numbers of baby frogs who subsequently fled to the land and died. Their little rotting frog bodies attracted lice and flies, the lice carried the Blue Tongue Virus, which killed 70% of Egyptians livestock. The flies carried Glanders, a bacterial infection which in humans causes boils. Soon after that the Nile river valley was hit by a 3 day sandstorm, also know as the Plague of darkness. During the sandstorm intense heat combine with an approaching cold front created not only hail but electrical storms, which to Egyptians would look like fire from the sky. The subsequent wind would have blown the Ethiopian locust population off course and right into down town Cairo. Hail is wet, Locust leave droppings, spread both on your grain and you've got mycotoxins. Dinner time in ancient Egypt meant the first born child got the biggest portion, which in this case meant he eat the most toxins, which meant he died. 10 Plagues 10 scientific Explanations". |
