Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) (1981,  PG)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark) 5.0 Stars
This is the perfect adventure flick, it has everything- Nazi's, snakes, an evil Frenchman, holy relics, and giant rolling balls, it's pretty much the epitome of fun. God, I love Indy so much, he will always be my hero. Oh, and Harrison Ford is a badass.

Was it worth the wait? No, but it wasn't bad, though it's not something I'd watch again. Harrison Ford slips back into the role with ease and Cate Blanchett is terrific as the femme fatale Col. Spalko, everyone else is pretty underused. Shia Lebeouf makes my stomach curl, he is annoying to boot. Like with most movies today, the CGI was totally unnecessary, I think Lucas has finally gotten to Spielberg. Shia swinging from vines like Tarzan, CGI gophers, surviving a nuclear explosion in a refrigerator, it doesn't get much more ridiculous than this. At least it didn't have a dance number like Spider-Man 3. The plot is too inane even for an Indiana Jones movie, it should've been called "Indiana Jones and the Close Encounters of the Third Kind". It's hilarious that some people think this is better than "Temple of Doom", delusional fucks. A pretty mediocre movie for Speilberg. George Lucas is the bane of my existence, he sucks. That is all.
