Horrendous garbage. The theme song is the only reason I'm not giving this film less than one star.

As far as I'm concerned, I've never understood how people can actually enjoy watching a boxing match. I dunno... To me, the whole concept of sweaty shirtless men hopping around in briefs seems a bit offputting... >_<

Ordinary people, ordinary film.

Oh dear... Jean-Luc Godard was at it again when he made "First Name: Carmen"! He took a wonderful opera as his source of inspiration and turned it into this vomitous mass of excrement that passes itself off as "art"! HOW DARE HE!!! Georges Bizet must be spinning in his grave as I write this!
You may always rely on Godard for comparing himself to artists he will NEVER be able to hold a candle to! WHAT A HACK!!! The man's nothing but an artsy-fartsy poser who dissimulates his lack of talent behind an accumulation of lofty cultural references!
To whomever is reading this: do yourself a favor and listen to the beautiful opera instead... Or if you have time, read Prosper Mérimée's novel - you won't regret it! But whatever you do, avoid renting this turkey at all cost!!!!!!

What a feeling indeed! I think I'm feeling nauseated! This is your typical sappy story about a teenage girl who falls in love with a dumb schmo and must struggle to make her dream of becoming a ballet dancer come true... BLEH!

According to Darwin's theory of evolution, men are descended from apes... Sadly, French Canadians never made it and stopped evolving halfway through!!!
Although this movie is one of the most vile pieces of poop ever to grace the silver screen, it nevertheless has the merit of proving the aforementioned statement.

This film is beyond horrible. The plot is ludicrous (a hooker and a rich schmuck fall in love), Julia Roberts' fake smile is nightmare-inducing (it cost me a fortune in therapy) and Richard Gere's bad acting will make blood gush out of your eyes and ears.
