Beach Party (1963,  G)
Beach Party
I give "The Finger" to anyone who says they don't love this surfin' classic.
2
One Crazy Summer (1986,  PG)
One Crazy Summer
One of the few movies I saw in theatre when i was a kid, laughed my ass off, still do! Features Savage Steve Hollands wacky brand of humour & lots of 80s stars.
3
Jaws (1975,  PG)
Jaws
A malfunctioning shark forced speilberg to make a better movie that made me nervous to go in the lake when i was little. da dun da dun DA DUN DA DUN DA DUN DA DUN
4
Meatballs (1979,  PG)
Meatballs
The best summer camp movie ever. A great Canadian product this movie manages to be funny & warm-hearted without making me want to puke. NOTE one scene was actually filmed in the parking lot of the K-Mart of my hometown.
5
Where the Boys Are (1960,  Unrated)
Where the Boys Are
You know a movie's old when the boys in question include George Hamilton and Frank Gorshin lol. Like Gidget his early surf film was directly aimed at teenage girls so even though it's entertaining there's alot of silly melodrama. I will admit i was a little shocked by the sexual innuendo even though it's wrapped in 50's values; boys are only interested in one thing (sex) and girls are interested in two (marriage and babies).
6
Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987,  PG-13)
Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise
Not bad for a sequel, not great mind you, but worth watching if you're a Nerd fan. Although I'll warn u, unlike the first installment this movie has absolutely no bush I repeat NO BUSH! Guess the powers that be knew that only stupid underage kids such as myself at the time would pay to see this. NOTE: Ogre's piss lasts a total of 1 minute 45 seconds.
7
Ride the Wild Surf (1964,  Unrated)
Ride the Wild Surf
Wow a surf movie that's actually about surfin', of course romantic subplots are thrown in for good measure not to mention it stars the ever dreamy Fabian and a pretty good theme song by Jan and Dean. It's a little rough around the edges and unintentionally funny at times but holds its own as far as surf movies go.
8
Gidget (1959,  Unrated)
Gidget
Is there a MST3K version? Although it is an important film in the history of beach movies, I missed the wacky humour of the Frankie and Annette era that was to follow. Guess it would help if i was a teenage girl.
9
Surfer, Dude (2008,  R)
Surfer, Dude
It seems alot of people hate this movie but oddly enough i do not. I believe the problem is that it's packaged as a stoner dick and fart joke comedy when in fact it's more of a comedy/drama aimed at middle-agers. Think About Schmidt meets Big lebowski. It's no masterpiece but it's not that bad.
10
Muscle Beach Party (1964,  Unrated)
Muscle Beach Party
Those krazy kids from the beach Frankie and Annette are back for more hi-jinks and this time they brought Don Rickles, Buddy Hackett, and Little Stevie Wonder(sorry flixster you're wrong that's not James Brown) along for the ride. My only real complaint is no Eric Von Zipper.
11
National Lampoon's Vacation (1983,  R)
National Lampoon's Vacation
John Hughes gives us one of the funniest movies ever made and in my opinion the best road comedy ever.
12
R.V. (RV) (Runaway Vacation) (2006,  PG)
R.V. (RV) (Runaway Vacation)
A watered down PG rated take on National Lampoon's Vacation that's held together by the ever-awesome Robin Williams, without him there would be no movie.
13
Caddyshack (1980,  R)
Caddyshack
Definitely on my Top 10 Comedies of all time list, everyone involved was at the top of their game, 30 years later it's still making us laugh and in another 30 years it'll still be as funny.
14
Blue Hawaii (1961,  PG)
Blue Hawaii
Once you get over the shock of the fact that you are are watching an Elvis movie it actually turns out to be quite enjoyable. The king of rock's acting ability was actually better than most musicians who have taken a stab at the silver screen.
15
The Horror of Party Beach (1964,  Unrated)
The Horror of Party Beach
The term " so bad it's good" was created for movies like this one. I highly recommend it if you're into cheezy movies, it'll make you think twice about dumping nuclear waste close to where you beach party.
16
Summer Camp Nightmare (1987,  PG-13)
Summer Camp Nightmare
For those who ever wonder what if Lord of the Flies took place at a summer camp during the 80s. I know you're thinking Simpsons did it, but this flick did it first.
17
A Summer Place (1959,  Unrated)
A Summer Place
Really great theme song, but just too much soap opera melodrama for me.
18
The Endless Summer (1966,  Unrated)
The Endless Summer
This is a really good low budget documentary that is entertaining for surfers and non-surfers alike. Just the idea of following summer around the planet is enough to stir the romantic in me.
19
Bikini Beach (1964,  Unrated)
Bikini Beach
Yay! Eric Von Zipper has returned. Originally the Beatles were slated to co-star but became really really successful and expensive so instead we are given Frankie parodying them as The Potato Bug. Another great serving of sand and surf with a sidedish of drag racing thrown in for good measure. Plus there's a guy in a monkey suit, how cool is that.
20
The Sandlot (1993,  PG)
21
Rookie of the Year (1993,  PG)
22
Little Big League (1994,  PG)
23
Overboard (1987,  PG)
Overboard
I know it's not very manly to say so but this is one of my favourite romantic comedys of all time.
24
Bikini Drive-In (1995,  R)
Bikini Drive-In
A very self-aware, very low budget ode to drive-ins, low budget movies and obviously bikinis. I give it one star because i am a fan of all the above and a second star for co-starring Conrad Brooks of Plan 9 From Outer Space fame.
25
Ernest Goes to Camp (1987,  PG)
Ernest Goes to Camp
Though no where close to the genius of Pee Wee's Big Adventure Ernest ,who was also an 80s icon, manages to bring us a pretty good movie. NOTE: Was Ernest a pyromaniac? I've always wondered.
26
Stand by Me (1986,  R)
Stand by Me
Great movie, who doesn't see at least some sem
27
Caddyshack II (1988,  PG)
Caddyshack II
One of the most reviled sequels of all time and i've always liked it anyway. While it comes nowhere close to the original and is honestly just a rehash of the same story and jokes the talented cast make it good as possible.
28
The Flamingo Kid (1984,  PG-13)
29
Beach Movie (Boardheads) (1998,  R)
30
Pajama Party (1964,  Unrated)
Pajama Party
In a preemptive strike in their war of the worlds mars sends it's most feared weapon.........Tommy Kirk. Once on earth he integrates himself into the beach party gang and puts the moves on annette. Sorry no frankie this time.
31
Beer League (2006,  R)
Beer League
My opinion's a little divided on this one, overall I liked it for what it is, a B grade comedy. I'll watch it again.
32
The Bad News Bears (1976,  PG)
The Bad News Bears
The grand daddy of all kids sports movies and still the best one.
33
Girl Happy (1965,  Unrated)
Girl Happy
Q: What do u do when your young innocent daughter decides to spend spring break on miami beach surrounded by sex crazed college boys? A: Send Elvis to keep a close eye on her. Another fun if predicable elvis beach frolic that includes his hit song "Do The Clam".
34
Police Academy 5 - Assignment Miami Beach (1988,  PG)
35
Addams Family Values (1993,  PG-13)
36
Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961,  Unrated)
37
Private Resort (1985,  R)
Private Resort
This was a fixture at my local video rental store when i was a kid now it's a strange time capsule for Depp's 80s hair. Oh and ah ladies if you want to see Johnny's naked ass this is the movie you've been looking for, don't worry guys there's lots of T&A as well thank goodness.
38
Friday the 13th (1980,  R)
39
Sleepaway Camp (1983,  R)
40
Beach Blanket Bingo (1965,  G)
Beach Blanket Bingo
Frankie and Annette are back (again) for more fun in the warm california sun. This installment follows the same formula as the first four of the series; the plot and jokes are goofy, the acting is sketchy and the lip-synching laughable but it comes together to form an enjoyable package. If surf movies are your thing then this is where it's at.
41
Surf School (2007,  R)
Surf School
A surf comedy that's a tad short on surfing and jokes, other than the fact that the washed-up pro surf champ is played by a canadian (not alot of surfing going on up here). Hopefully Harland can move on to bigger and better things, he truly is a funny guy.
42
National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2 (2006,  R)
43
Meatballs Part II (Space Kid) (1984,  PG)
44
Wet Hot American Summer (2001,  R)
45
National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985,  PG-13)
46
Heavyweights (Heavy Weights) (1995,  PG)
Heavyweights (Heavy Weights)
An old stale formula is given some life with a good cast and new subject matter, as a former fat kid i have always appreciated this movie's attempt to combat hollywood stereotypes such as goonies Chunk and meatballs Larry.
47
Don't Make Waves (1967,  Unrated)
Don't Make Waves
Basically it's a Great Gatsby type tale set on Malibu Beach during the 60's, Tony Curtis and crew do a fine job but something just seems uneven. I'm thinking that with repeat viewings it'll grow on me.
48
Major League (1989,  R)
Major League
"Hey how's your wife and my kid?". Kinda rips off Slapstick, but perfect casting makes this one a winner in the arena of sports comedy's.
49
Eurotrip (2003,  R)
50
Summer Rental (1985,  PG)
51
Clambake (1967,  Unrated)
52
Club Paradise (1986,  PG-13)
53
How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965,  Unrated)
How to Stuff a Wild Bikini
Even though things were starting to spiral downward at this point(Frankie's only in like ten minutes of the movie and Annette flirts with infidelity), this wacky teeny bopper romp is still good clean fun. At least Eric Von Zipper was still around to keep us entertained. PLUS Buster Keaton plays an alcoholic witchdoctor(at least it was a speaking role).
54
Summer School (1987,  PG-13)
55
Gidget Goes to Rome (1963,  Unrated)
56
Meatballs III: Summer Job (1986,  R)

The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966,  Unrated)
64
Village of the Giants (1965,  Unrated)
65
The Great Outdoors (1988,  PG)
The Great Outdoors
When you mix the comedic talents of John Hughes, John Candy and Dan Aykroyd how can u go wrong. Although a little sappy at times still a classic 80's comedy.

Grizzly (1976,  PG)
67
Roman Holiday (1953,  Unrated)

Thunder Alley (Hell Drivers) (1967,  Unrated)
81
Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005,  PG)
Cheaper by the Dozen 2
I liked it better than the part one which I didn't care for. Honestly I only watched it because it was filmed near where I live but it isn't completely horrid. Alot of the premise and jokes seemed to have been borrowed from Great Outdoors starring John Candy and Dan Aykroyd which is a much better movie.
82
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie (2004,  PG)
83
Deliverance (1972,  R)

Club Dread (2004,  R)
Club Dread
First time i watched it i wasn't very impressed, but now i might like it more than Supertroopers. Bill Paxton is a riot as the Jimmy Buffetish Coconut Pete. And the best looking woman in hollywood right now Britanny Daniels co-stars. Bravo Broken Lizard Bravo.

Back to the Beach (1987,  PG)
Back to the Beach
Its 1987 and about time for Frankie and Annette to re-visit their old stomping grounds with their kids in tow. This could have been a disaster but instead turns out to be witty and fun, actually better than the original series. Although it doesn't hurt to have seen a Frankie and Annette feature before it isn't necessary as this one stands alone very well. WATCH FOR: a whole bunch of cameos by 60s and 80s stars including a performance by one of the greatest bands ever Fishbone.
