This was by no means perfect, but it turned out a lot better than I thought it would. I adore the source material in all it's giant puppet madness, so it had some big shoes to fill for me, but it was highly enjoyable.

Might be the only ting Tara Reid has done that is watchable. Hate me if you want, I love this stupid film.

This Is England (2007,  Unrated)

Awesome. The first reel is a trip down memory lane for me as you get a glimpse into the true skinhead culture and the SKA scene they inhabited. And it couldn't be any cuter to see a 12 year old get his hair buzzed by 3 chicks sporting Chelseas. The clothes, the sound, it was a trip. After that you get a complex story of the social downfalls of England in the early 80's and the issues tearing youth culture apart in the wake of punk and the Falklands War.

Just plain brutal. Toss out any concept you've ever had for a horror film. Hard Candy is the most terrifying movie I've ever seen. Twists and turns down to the the final reel. Ellen Page is beyond amazing. I cannot recommend this flick enough.

Perfect. Mind blowing. Transcends storytelling. I can't even wrap my head around it enough to appreciate every moment. Truly a masterpiece.
