2
Help! (1965,  G)
Help!
Pot was all around, Indian mood (too much the version of Hard days night with sitar..hymn and flag of Khali 's Thugs) too. Too great movie!
(why it's not 5 star? ask it to Paul! haha!)
3
Yellow Submarine (1968,  G)
Yellow Submarine
cartoon it's psych, op artish and it's nice. Sorry for music because it wasn't the best from the Beatles. Hey Bulldog burns anyway! Ode to you, George Harrison, little brother!
4
Magical Mystery Tour (1967,  Unrated)
Magical Mystery Tour
damn...i watched it not so long time ago and it's a bit boring...damn...Paul tried to keep the band together, but Brian Epstein (RIP) already passed away. John and the Spaghetti it's the best, John was the boss of the Beatles, never forget it, folks. Yep i'm Lennonian!
5
Head (1968,  G)
Head
a very nice 'outta sight, outta mind' movie, and i really like the self-irony of the Monkees. They are cool guys and natural performers. The criticize of the 'stardom' it's the best feature of this movie.
6
Daydream Believers: The Monkees Story (2000,  PG-13)
Daydream Believers: The Monkees Story
Ahhh, the Monkees on TV were great!! They were the Usa reply to the Beatles ' movies. A great band too. They released boss songs such I'm not your steppin' stone and I'm a believer. The Monkees had bad fame during 70s...a fake band, no musicians etc... IT WASN'T TRUE!!!! I have friends from Australia who standed at their gigs there and the Monkees were true musicians. Ok, they've been helped or substituted during their own recording sessions, but actually it was quite a 'rule'. The session men (think about J.Page) were very popular in UK during the 60s era...

Riot on Sunset Strip
Sunset strip, drugs, music, rebels and cops! Soundtrack includes best Californian 60s punkers bands: Standells and Chocolate Watchand. I'm a devote collector of original 60s garage 45s... it can't be a different rating.

Satanik (1968,  Unrated)
Satanik
i'm disappointed on this movie. Satanik was best italian 'erotic, fantastic dark comic' from the 60s. I used to collect it. The Movie lacks of withcrafts, vampires, zombies, HPL monsters, sex...just the beginning it was good but all the rest it's really lame. What's a pity!!
25
Danger: Diabolik (1968,  PG-13)
Danger: Diabolik
Somehow it's a good movie, but it's not the best for a fan of italian 'DARK COMICS'. The story is wellknown: Bava hadn't green light from De Laurentiis to put in the gore and the sadistic mood of early stories of Diabolik. Censors were very strong against those dirty comics.
Then Bava hadn't enough financing to do a better production (special effects are incredible if you mind how he realized 'em). Movie is fun and have some great 'op art 'scenes. Bava wasn't satisfied about Diabolik, he knew very well his job. I totally agree with him.

Spie vengono dal semifreddo (Dr. Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs)(Spies Come from Half-Cold)

Gonks Go Beat
Graham Bond's Harmonica Man song it's a boss. He's on his vox organ, dark glasses, and GROOVE! I taped from this movie a couple of songs (see Nashville Teens). Nice coloured scenario and good 60s mood. Worth to see it and to know more about swingin' London during mid 60s. (Blow up it's not enough!)

Orgy of the Dead
Good ol' Monsters captures and chains 2 teens. A old cemetery it's their home and 'The King of Darkness' (haha, Criswell!)wants to have a night of fun. His Mistress Ghoulita('the ghoulish goddess of the Dancing Dead') presents to him a bizzarre bouillabaisse show ....mmm some babes are hot and Monsters make up it's funny. More 60s parade of strip-tease than a true horror movie.

12 + 1 (The 13 Chairs) (Twelve Plus One)
a typical 60s euro-comedy, with a funny plot: a poor italian barber (Gassman) got good news: his aunt is dead and he travels immediately to England to take ownership of....nothing! Needing money to come back in Usa he sells whole chairs of aunt's home to an antique shop, but that night he finds an hidden aunt's letter which it speaks about A FORTUNE of money in one of those chairs...He must find the chair at any cost and here it starts his adventures... Nice post 68 movies, it has great moment of fun and sex (a threesome night with S.Tate and Ottavia Piccolo...whatta a luck that man!) .Wells and V.De Sica are guest star for some funny Cameos. Explosive ending: barber com back to his shop, no money...no honey... but he has the secret (a secret for him too) to grew up the hairs .. and everybody's around they get a CAVEMEN style....
