I love this film. especially the way it all goes down at the end. Tim Roth is great here too.

They eat ass to stay alive. Sounds like tha making for a good movie to me. Has the most incredible plane crash ive ever seen.

This is a bit of an oddity. A gory black comedy -period film. Iam a big Robert Carlyle fan and seeing him here was great. The whole sequence involving the search of the cave was fantastic, with Carlyle on the verge of going ape-shit! I wish Jeremy Davies would have been around a little longer but his usual quirky charm still leaves a bit of an impression. And Jeffry Jones also makes one wish he hadn't become the NAMBLA creep that he is because hes a fun time here.
The comedy didnt quite work all the time but it never was in your face either. The score is really whacked out too, at times very surreal and trancy, at other times never quite fitting the context of the film. That and a few story flukes aside, i really enjoyed the hell out of this film.

Deodato is in fine form with this cannibal flick. A much better film than Cannibal Holocaust as story is concerned. This one has characters you empathize with. Holocaust had no redeeming characters to empathize with.

Ive seen this film 20 times and i still need to showerand scrub the filth off of me after veiwing it. The ULTIMATE CANNIBAL FILM. Peta people beware!!!

Incredibly atmosphereic scenes in the underground subway of England. Donald Pleasance plays a really quirky police inspector. Great horror film.

Solid retelling of Manhunter.

An intense thriller with shades of horror. Scary at times.

Better than Silence of the Lambs. But iam in the minority on that.
Julianne Moore improves upon the character Foster played. It almost reminded me af a giallo. almost.

Fun adventure film that turns into a cannibal flick.

This is a totaly underappreciated film. Randy Quaid actually turns in a scary performance. The story is twisted as fuck! Imagine Ward and June Cleaver feeding Wally and the Beav. human meat for dinner and never telling them what the constant 'leftovers' are.

I love survival films! The ones were the characters are stranded in the middle of nowere and they have to find theyre way to civilization. The Naked Prey is one of the best examples of this type of film. I watched it blindly with out any prior knowledge of what it was really about. Its freaking great. Cornel Wilde gives a tour-de-force performance as the "man"
there are some seriously disturbing images in The Naked Prey. One man gets covered in red clay, then baked over a fire by a tribe of cannibals! Theres also an amazing scene involving natives going inside and out of an Elephants carcass!! Like a big wet drippy meat tent! And i think it was a real Elephant carcass. Theres quite alot of Mondo footage here too.
I dont know what this film was nominated for at the Oscars...i caught it on TCM's 29 days of Oscars. But its a real fucked up film.

ok they made Leatherface a pussy for pussy. But its still a great film. And the most original sequel in the series. Dennis Hopper kicks ass as the bible spewing Uncle seeking revenge, and Chop-Top is one of the creepiest charcters ever! I love this cheez fest of a film.

A classic drive-in horror film. Based on Ed Gein. And possibly the closest adaption of him. Co-directed by Alan Ormsby of Bob Clark fame. And one of the first, if not the first, Tom Savini makeup jobs.
One of my favorite movies. Its so much fun.

Hey its an Emanuelle film with cannibals..italian style. Anybody expecting anything other than a Emanuelle film should stay away. I love how D'Amato brings a real sleazy element to these films. I only like the Gemser Entrys.

fun film with BAD acting.

A completely fun rip off of Blood Feast. Iam gonna go out on a limb here and say that if you cant see the absurd fun in a film like this then you need to go rewipe your ass! This film is a laugh a minute.

well made remake. Is actually really good and violent. Improvment on the story. But not as fun as the original. Or as sleazy.

Frontier(s) is like Hostel meets Texas Chainsaw meets Apt. Pupil meets The People Under the Stairs. Its a uncomfortable watch. Its very violent and gory, the characters we are supposed to identify with are losers and the last act of the film the "main" character wanders around catatonic. I guess all she's been through one cant blame her for shaking and trembling the way she does. I didnt hate Frontier(s), its well made and sleazy fun. I just found that watching people get tortured and carved up for an 1 1/2 hrs to be torturous in its own right. I mean this film is brutal! And theres nothing here that we havnt seen a zillion times before.
This ones got it all....cannibals, backwoods frenchmen, nazi's, whores, cop shootouts and inbreeding. Its a hard one to recommend, but if you like the new wave of Torture horror, this is one of the better versions. I personally prefer a good horror film with a good plot and some real scares that arent for the sake of shock value.
