Donkey Punch (2008, R)
A film that will get people talking about it?s controversial title and explicit sex scene, this is not a film for everyone. |

Young Adam (2004, R)
A well appreciated film all around it seems, yet I found the story to be very slow moving. The interest no doubt, heightened with the nudity and bed-hopping of Ewan Mcgregor?s character, whilst the story itself is an interesting one, I feel this could have been condensed somewhat and was very underwhelmed by it?s ending. |

Sex and Lucia (Lucía y el sexo) (2002, R)
One of the strangest storylines ever, which confuses the viewer throughout, that I think, is the beauty of this piece. There is something quite addictive about the story. This is a film that definitely benefits from multiple viewing |

Irreversible (2002, Unrated)
Told in the tradition of that in "Memento" i.e the storyline is played backwards, the film opens with a very visually dark scene accompanied by a pretty bizarre sound (that's still running through my head!! ha ha), along with some very dizzy filming, the viewer isn't particularly aware of what is going on straight away, but within the first couple of scenes the storyline developes and of course you are intrigued to know, how it all began. |

Monster's Ball (2001, R)
A bitter-sweet tale from start to finish, this film is all about breaking generational cycles of learned behaviour. The film has a very raw honesty about it and the emotions go from each extreme, from no feeling to intense feeling and is a most extroidinary tale of love and lost. |

Fat Girl (À ma soeur!) (2001, Unrated)
I have mixed feelings on this storyline, firstly it articulates the feelings of these two very young girls in a realistic sense, I?m sure many ladies out there watching this film will relate to this with nostalgia and can draw an understanding of the circumstances. |

Eyes Wide Shut (1999, R)
This rather drawn out mystery explores an unknown world of a sexual nature. It seems (at least to me) a strange pairing between Director and Actors in this case, meaning Cruise and Kidman?s usual roles being a little more squeaky clean, but perhaps that was the appeal at the time of relase, plus of course the fact that they were at the time a high profile married couple. |

Crash (1996, NC-17)
David Cronenberg?s ?Crash? isn?t for everybody. The theme of the film is sexually orientated to a particular fetish and really has nothing more to offer than adrenalin infused romps. |

Law of Desire (La Ley del deseo) (1987, NC-17)A love triangle evolves into obsession and murder, in this fairly early Almodovar picture. Like many of PD?s films, there are subtle hints of sub-stories which push the boundaries of socially accepted relationships. |
