Hakuchi (The Idiot)
Hara is the sheer benevolence of the film. You do await the breaking point just like the novel's mystical eccentricities.Kurosawa guides the dramatic community to far beyond limits and stretching a bleak, ominous, malevolent environment.A perfect cinematography and I will give it 6 stars after I grab the 5-hour edition I'm still searching for.....

Kumonosu Jô (Throne of Blood) (Macbeth)
Kurosawa coordinates the best adaptation of Macbeth on-screen and Mifune is orgiastic in the lead role. What more can you ask when you're watching two legends dancing to the cinematic rhythm?

High and Low (Tengoku to jigoku) (Heaven and Hell)
Psychos,a modern trend.Kurosawa fixes and intensifies an alternative stage play of executive dilemmas and mysterious deception.A kidnap is the reason for many secrets to be heard, what lies beneath the corporation heads,a Russian roulette of breathtaking resolutions.Excellent surprise by a clearly epic director.

King Lear intertwined with pragmatic metaphors. The Jester protects the King and Three Brothers lead the penultimate rampage.Kurosawa is leaving behind him the Thrones and Samurais and unleashes his final epic film, valleys and meadows surrounding his vision.
28
Dreams (Akira Kurosawa's Dreams) (Yume) (1990,  PG)
29
Rhapsody in August (1991,  PG)
Rhapsody in August
Well,it isn't the worst Kurosawa, that's a gravity point. It's pathetic nonetheless.Piety and respect to the fruitful generation in spite of the elders' guidance and alternatively, the cycle continues by giving props to the what occurred in a critical epoch of a land e.g. the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima/Nagasaki.Props as in mournful homage. All's well that end's well but what's the utter point for all this?Just for Gere commercial?
