Menace II Society (1993, R)
Loved this film from the first time i saw it to the most recent time i saw it, n i think i first saw it when i was like 6 or 7, so all the swearing and violence was like "WOW!!", and it still does that for me. Larenz Tates O-Dog is a brilliant character, intense and gritty, and Tyrin Turners Caine is also excellently played. |

The Departed (2006, R)
I'm really not sure about this film, because although it was very good, there are some issues. Matt Damon did not look comfortable as a bad guy, he did it well but you could tell it wasn't his part. Leonardo Dicaprio was another issue, i tried hard to like him, but he was so wooden, much better in Blood Diamond so i'm glad to say that isn't just his acting style, but just not his film. Jack Nicholson was a good character, nutty and an informer, the bastard!! lol Mark Wahlberg also had a good role and played it very well. Better casting would've made this a super movie |
