The Best Submarine Movies

I dont know why, but one of my favorite types of movie is the submarine flick. The sub movie sub-genre is marked by several key elements. Tension in the crew: its cramped, close and intense, there is bound to be some personality conflicts. A creative and unorthodox captain. Some type of damage to this ship, endangering the whole crew and/or the mission. And many more. Here are what I think are the top sub movies, and also a few guilty pleasures.

A good twist on the sub film genre. I love submarine movies and this one is totally different from any other that I have seen. It was suspenseful and entertaining, even if it is a little hokey at times.
