Cheesy + Gory + Atmospheric + Funny + Scary = Horror Classic!
Night of the Demons is an amazingly great fun Halloween film. If you consider yourself to be a true horror fan then this movie definitely needs to be on your list. And if you take this movie seriously then your missing the whole point. It's fun! Plain and simple. This is just a fun horror movie with that good old spooky Halloween feel to it. The atmosphere in this is sick. Oh my God, does this movie have great dark atmosphere! Talk about scary demons too. Angela(the demon) will have you shitting in your pants. As far as cheese goes, thank God this movie was as cheesy as it was. It made it hilarious. Night of the Demons is one fucking funny and hilarious movie...scary as well.
The acting is bad(So what? It's hilarious)
The script is a mess(So what? It's hilarious)
The characters are retarded(So what? It's hilarious)
Nothing in here is believable or slightly convincing...And yes! It is hilarious.
And after saying all this I will say that Night of the Demons certainly has a charm. It makes and turns cheesy horror into a blast of good times. Everything that's wrong with this film works to it's advantage. The cheese factor is exactly what this movie needed. Because it's played out so well it makes Night of the Demons work as a classic bad 80's B horror film. Underneath all the ridiculous cheese and silliness Night of the Demons still manages to be frightful delight with many scares and chills on the surface. A great Halloween time movie. I highly recommend this one to any horror fan!
Other Reviews:
"It's a fun ride, perfect for late night viewing. It's got humor, gore, scares, decent effects, great make up. It's the perfect Halloween movie, the type of movie I always hope is on at 1am when I have insomnia."
- Horror Talk
"Night Of The Demons is one of those fun movies, probably best viewed with your brain in the off position. But nevertheless a damn good time all around. Fun pranks, silly kids, and gory moments."
- Burnout Central Review
"Night Of The Demons doesn't re invent the genre but re interprets it with high energy, wit and style. It's a nasty ride and you won't regret it."
- Arrow in the Head
"If you're looking for some completely brainless 80s fun (and I do mean brainless), look no further. And if you like it, I won't tell on you, I swear."
- Final Girl
"Night of the Demons contains everything you could possibly want from an 80s horror flick: gore, babes, skin, scares, comedy and plenty of cheese."
- Popcorn Pictures
"Night of the Demons is a good reason to love horror. No, it's not a masterpiece, but it delivers an hour-and-a-half of fun entertainment, which is more than can be said of many other so-called "scary" movies."

A fun ass horror movie from the 80's. An underrated gem.
Nothing original here, same old slasher hack-em up concept, but still a whole lot of damn fun. A good movie to watch when you're alone at night. And although it probably will not scare you, I'm sure in the end you'll be quite pleased that you spend 90 minutes of your night eating from a bowl of popcorn and watching 5 teenagers get slaughtered by a guy wearing a Groucho Marx mask costume. lol
No gore here either, this movie wasn't about that. The acting was great and there's very good direction, with some spooky cinematography. Cheesy in some parts, but it's the kind of fun 80's horror cheese, and it's not overdone either. Don't take this movie too seriously. There's nothing here that's going to wow you. Just sit back, relax, be open minded and have fun with it. The 80's was a glorious decade for horror films, and believe me, this is one of the good one's from that wonderful time span of blood, guts, and maniacal madmen running amok and hacking up teenagers.
This is the perfect film to even watch around the Halloween season. It has that feel to it. You know that feel? That good old creepy October, things that go bump in the night feel! : )
And although you'll probably guess right at who the killer is, Terror Train will still have you guessing till the very end. It's not so much as to who the killer is, it's more of where the hell is he?...And have you already seen the killer? Because believe me, he'll most likely pass by your very eyes without you even knowing it!...you'll know more what I'm talking about when you see this. Little interesting twist at the very end!
Yes indeed, it's good times with bloodshed, the Groucho Marx killer, and our favorite legendary "scream queen" Jamie Lee Curtis.
I highly recommend this movie. But just have fun with it, that's all it's about.
Other Reviews:
"While Terror Train is not much more than a wheelbound Friday the 13th, it is one of the better films to emerge in the short-lived but prolific 1980-3 slasher cycle."
- The SF, Horror and Fantasy Film Review
"Terror Train proves that when done right, a classic slasher flick could deliver just as many thrills and twists and turns as a more conventional horror flick."
- Horror Yearbook
"Terror Train stands on its own as a thoroughly enjoyable and tasteful slasher film."
- 411mania
"Terror Train steamrolls through the rest and emerges strong as an icon of Canadian horror. All aboard!"
- Oh, the Horror!
"For all its flaws Terror Train is still a fun, entertaining ride."
- DVD Verdict
"Sends you a chill down the spine that won't subside until those final few minutes...see it before the upcoming remake."
- Film Threat
"Terror Train is a hell of a lot of fun, and a unique film besides thanks to its claustrophobic setting, bizzarre killer reveal, and confused romantic relationships: for a decidedly queer ride, this Trannie Train is well-worth the trip."
- CampBlood.org
"TERROR TRAIN is quite simply one of the top five slasher movies ever made, in my opinion. Suspenseful, scary, humorous, and fun, it truly stands head and shoulders above the countless other HALLOWEEN clones made during the early 80's."

This is one of my favorite holiday movies. This was another made for TV movie back in the 80's that I caught around Halloween time. I know this movie use to be on DVD and I actually own a copy, but unfortunately as far as I know this movie is out of print. You should still see it if you can find a copy somewhere because this movie was just awesome. I know that they have used copies on Amazon but there asking for over $100 and that's just ridiculous. Maybe they have a cheap copy somewhere on EBay but I don't know for certain.
This movie has a lot of shit in it...vampires, zombies, a werewolf, and even a midget zombie(the cutest zombie I have ever seen). It's about a teenage boy named Phil, who on Halloween time, shows his classmates a slideshow of a legendary witch from their community named Lucinda. After class one of Phil's dumb friends, named Mitch, gets an idea and tells everyone that they should steal artifacts from Lucinda's three hundred year old wardrobe and wear them as costumes. Of course, a group of them feel the need to go along with Mitch's idea, and after school the teens break into an old basement where Lucinda's artifacts remain. While in the basement one of them comes across an old trunk bearing the "Grenville" seal. Nathaniel Grenville was actually the man responsible for hanging Lucinda hundreds of years ago, and saving the town from her curse. The teens now also feel that they should take the trunk along with them on their little mission to the local cemetery.
While at the cemetery the group of teens, now wearing their Halloween costumes, decide to open the trunk and inside they find Nathaniel's ring and a timeworn scroll. Melissa, one of Phil's friends, takes the scroll and begins to read the accursed incantation. Little did she know that she just raised hell from beyond the grave and everyone and everything starts to rise from their tomb. In the mist of all this chaos Phil meets a beautiful young girl named Sandy, who wears a cheerleading outfit and does cheers with her pom-poms. What Phil doesn't know at first is that Sandy is also a zombie herself, but the thing is that she's actually a good zombie.
Back at the teens Halloween party the dead are dancing it up, literally. No one at the party seems to know that the zombies are crashing it, for everyone there is dressed up in a costume. The party's biggest threat though is Lucinda, the witch/vampire that they brought back from the grave, and it's all up to Phil and his new girlfriend Sandy to save the day...or can they?
This movie is just so much fun. What a great Halloween time view this was! Don't expect any violence or anything like that because this was a made for TV movie that was viewable for the younger crowd, all though they did show some stuff that might be too frightening for them. The good thing too was, it wasn't all that cheesy(well at least not in a bad way) and this movie had plenty of spooky atmosphere to go around. If you can you have to get your hands on this movie. Hopefully they'll release it again on DVD just in time for the Halloween season, but you should really try to see this one as soon as possible. Like I said, it's one of my favorite holiday movies!

Funny and cheesy in the best way possible. Bloody, gory, and deranged. This movie is f#@*& great!
Every horror fan needs an injection of Night of the Creeps. If you can't have fun with this movie then you need to immediately go out and find your sense of humor. It might be lost in one of the "Saw" films, lol.
Night of the Creeps is directed by Fred Dekker, the same man who brought us The Monster Squad. If you've seen how great The Monster Squad is then you should already know that Fred Dekker knows how to make one hell of an entertaining horror flick. The Monster Squad is a classic and Night of the Creeps is definitely right up there with it. Night of the Creeps pays homage to 50's sci-fi/horror films and kind of like the movie "Scream" in some ways, it's aware of exactly what it is, making it known that it's nothing more then just a bad B 80's horror movie(pointed out through many little inside jokes from the dialogue).
"Night of the Creeps stars Tom Atkins, Jason Lively and Jill Whitlow. The film is notable as both an earnest attempt at a B-movie as well as a spoof of the genre. While the main plot of the film is related to zombies (its title is a play on Night of the Living Dead) the film also mixes in takes on slashers and alien invasion films.
The classic B-movie Plan 9 from Outer Space is first referenced and then later watched by a character in the film. This is an intentional reference to the fact that the plot of the film is itself similar to Plan 9. Despite a strong cult following, the film has yet to be officially released onto DVD."
Night of the Creeps knows exactly what it's doing, and it does it well. The cheese factor wasn't an accident, it was purposely planned and it was brilliant as hell. If this film didn't have all the cheese that it did I guarantee it wouldn't have been as good. I loved everything about this film, especially the one-liners. From the first opening scene I knew right away I was in for a treat. The black and white 50's setting with an escaped mental patient ending in a blood bath was a beautiful touch. Then cut to 1986 pledge week, with cheesy 80's rock music, handsome jocks with no brains, a beautiful educated goodie-good girl and the two unlucky dorks who suddenly become hero's and might actually save the day. Not to mention the bad ass cop, played by the awesome Tom Atkins, who just can't seem to get a break and lives his life in a death wish, fucking up any slug infested zombie that crosses his path. Hell Yeah!...Atkins for president! lol
Bloody and outrageous. This movie is insanely fun and a must see for any horror fan who appreciates really good B popcorn flicks. This movie has everything a ("bad")horror movie needs. Highly recommended!

"Fred Dekker didn't make some kind of standard 80's bad haired slasher crap with Night of the Creeps; he made something that should go down in the annals of film history as one of the best horror comedies ever made."
