Clue
If your a fan of the old board game Clue then check out this film. The film has a great cast. Tim Curry stands out as the best in this film. But everyone else still does a great job in all their roles. A great comedy mystery film. I always get a good laugh watching this. One of my all time favorite comedies. Plus the film has alternate endings of who the murderer was. Great to see a board game brought to life on the screen and was well done. A great film.
2
Young Sherlock Holmes (1985,  PG-13)
Young Sherlock Holmes
Not a bad mystery film. It's a different take on the Sherlock Holmes and Watson character's. This story has a teenage Holmes and Watson who meet for the first time at a private school. Of course murder is afoul and they must solve the case. A solid story and decent acting all around. The books and the Jeremy Brett as Holmes in the BBC television series are much better. But if your a Holmes fan then check this out.
3

13
The Hound of the Baskervilles (2000,  Unrated)
The Hound of the Baskervilles
A good television movie adaptation on a classic Sherlock Holmes story. Matt Frewer does a good job as Sherlock Holmes and Kenneth Welsh as well in his role as Watson. I still think Jeremy Brett gives the best performance as Holmes but Matt Frewer is a skilled actor and still pulls it off. I enjoyed this film. But the original book is much better. But worth a watch for Sherlock Holmes fans.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988,  PG)
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
This is a great goofy, silly, funny ride of a film. The film is a great mix of comedy and mystery. Bob Hoskins is excellent in this as the lead actor. If your a fan of the old Looney Tunes, Woody Woodpecker Show or the older Disney cartoons then you should enjoy. The film does a great job having the cartoon characters inrteract with the actual actors. The animation in this is simple yet well done. Roger Rabbit and Jessica Rabbit are two great cartoon characters for the film. You could tell that Jessica Rabbit was drawn a certain way to entice men to see this film. Overall this is a well done film with a great mystery story and comedy for adults and kids.

A great film that is worth a watch.
28
Without a Clue (1988,  PG)
Without a Clue
This is a funny film. Starring Michael Caine as Sherlock Holmes and Ben Kingsley as Watson. The basic plot is that Watson is the actual sleuth for all the cases and just uses a actor to potray Holmes. The film is funny and with a great mystery story. But it is the comedy and chemistry that Caine and Kingsley bring to their characters and the film. A fun film worth watching.

The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975,  PG)
The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother
This is a funny spoof on all the Sherlock Holmes movies and novels. The film has a great cast with Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Leo McKern, Marty Feldman. Roy Kinnear and Dom DeLuise. The story is about Shelock Holmes younger brother who tries to be a better detective than Sherlock. Gene Wilder is funny as the brother to Holmes and Marty Feldman is great as his sidekick. The film is full of funny characters, funny lines and musical numbers. While the film does bring many laughs I found it not to be as funny as some of Gene Wilder's other work. Still worth a watch for those who like other Gene Wilder films or Mel Brook films.
36
Rear Window (1954,  PG)
Rear Window
A classic. Another great film by Alfred Hitchcock. I can see why this was nominated for four Academy Awards. The film stars James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Thelma Ritter, Wendell Cory and Raymond Burr. Excellent performances by all. It was amazing to believe the entire set was constructed on a soundstage. The way Hitchcock had this filmed and focus on each person in the windows of the apartment was well done. The story was well done and and has interesting characters. A story that drags you in and entertains through the characters and direction. A must see.
37
Murder at 1600 (1997,  R)
Murder at 1600
This is a solid mystery action thriller about a murder inside the White House. Stars Wesley Snipes, Diane Lane, Dennis Miller and Alan Alda. The story is solid with a good cast. The flow of the story seems to be rushed at times but overall has that nice mix of action and suspense to entertain. Worth at least a one time watch.
38
Anatomy of a Murder (1959,  R)
Anatomy of a Murder
One of the best court drama's I have ever watched on film. The film stars James Stewart as a lawyer defending a man who killed someone who apparently raped his wife. This is no easy job for Jimmy Stewart's character. He not only has to make a solid defense case he has to try and solve the truth of the matter. Jimmy Stewart is excellent in this. Between his charisma and excellent acting on screen made for a entertaining movie. Plus great performances from Ben Gazzara, Lee Remick and a very young George C. Scott. This movie was based off of a book. I never read it but this was a good film. A great film with a great cast. Well worth a watch.
39
Shattered (1991,  R)
Shattered
This is a solid mystery thriller. It stars Tom Berenger as a amnesiac who recovered from a car accident. He only remembers aspects of his past. But he begins to believe that he might have been a victim of attempted murder. The movie also stars Bob Hoskins and Greta Scacchi. This movie has a solid story with enough twist and turns to keep you interested. Seems more like a made for television movie but it was well done. I liked it. Worth a watch if you enjoy a good mystery movie.
40
Clean Slate (1994,  PG-13)
Clean Slate
This is a funny film starring Dana Carvey. Carvey is a private eye who has memory loss every time he wakes up. So when he works on a case and discovers something about a murder he must leave himself clues to the case. Dana Carvey is very funny in this. This is one of those films that is a guilty pleasure. I always have been a fan of Dana Carvey comedies and stand up. If your looking for a solid comedy then check this movie out.
41
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990,  R)
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane
This is actually a decent muder mystery comedy starring comedian Andrew Dice Clay at the height of his popularity. Andrew plays a private investigator known as Ford Fairlane. He is trying to solve a series of murders. This film is full of Andrew Dice Clay humour. Rude and crude. But it works for his film. The movie has a good supporting cast and a decent story. Andrew is funny in this. This might not be a movie for all due to the crude humour but it is worth a one time watch.
