"Lady Sings The Blues"-(1972)This movie made Diana Ross an international superstar overnight in her brilliant portrayal of the rise and fall of jazz great Billie Holliday. It went to give Ms. Ross an Oscar nomination for Best Actress(and was at the time a first(African-American actress) since Dorothy Dandridge for received such a nomination). Ross gives a electrical stunning performance that is worth seeing not to mention one of the greatest screen kisses in Hollywood history between Billy Dee Williams and Diana Ross...the chemistry was perfect.

2. "Mahogany"-(1975) The screen presence of Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams explodes here not to mention some of the fashions that were presented in this movie. Anthony Perkins is in this too. "Mahogany" would be the final film that Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams would be in together. It was also Oscar nominated for Best Song titled "Do You Know",sung by Diana Ross.

Lady Sings the Blues (1972,  R)
Lady Sings the Blues
Diana Ross should have won the Oscar for her brilliant portrayal of jazz legend Billie Holliday in a riveting performance produced by Motown legend Berry Gordy and directed by Sidney J. Furie.
The screen chemistry between Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams is a moment of cimematic bliss. Nominated for five Oscars including Best Picture.

The Wiz (1978,  G)
The Wiz
The only film that her co-star Billy Dee Williams is not in. But as far as the rest of it goes, its sensational from beginning to end. No where else you can find Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross and Michael Jackson together in one picture. Who would have thought that director Sidney Lumet(the man who was behind "Serpico", "Dog Day Afternoon",and "12 Angry Men")who take the reigns of making a musical featuring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson?
It was anybody guess and it became of the biggest hits of the late 1970's

Mahogany (1975,  PG)
