Blood Stalkers is a great drive in film. It was made with all heart. Sure its got alot of cheeze happening. But its one of my favorite films of this type. Chock full of great characters and some fun direction. Blood Stalkers also has by far the greatest scared shitless scenes ever filmed! And one of the main characters sweats like no other. I really wish this had a legite dvd release! But if anyone ever finds a VHS copy, be sure not to read the back of the box as it telles you what happens to every character in this gem! |

you got to love a film that about 10 minutes into it....the female lead, Ocho is taking a bath when there is an assasination attempt on her life. Leaping out of the tub, only wearing her birthday suit and armed with a sword, she kills everyone in a awsome bloody mess! This basically sets the tone for the rest of this great film. |

Who Can Kill a Child possibly has the most grueling opening credits ever. Made up of documentary footage from concentration camp victims of WWII and other wars that followed. Mostly the footage contains child victims. My girlfreind was balling through the opening credits. God bless her for watching my movies! |

Hei tai yang: Nan Jing da tu sha (Men Behind The Sun 4) (Black Sun: The Nanking Massacre) (1995, Unrated)There are certain films ive seen in my short existence that stick with you. The films that give you the feeling of wanting to take a hot shower after watching them, so you can scrub the grim off. Films like Salo: 120 of Sodom, Cannibal Holocaust, William Freidkin's Cruisin. Men Behind The Sun is also one of those films. Its disturbing. The film is about a Japanese bacterial weapons experiment camp. Were they perform atrocities on the Chinese. Based on fact, this film shows that the Japs commited crimes of unspeakable horror. Its a notorious film that lives up to its reputation. |

Mother's Day (1980, Unrated)Mothers Day is a fucked up film! The story of three best friends from school who get together every year for a reunion. I Spit on Your Grave (Day of the Woman) (1978, R)
Not exactly an enjoyable film, I Spit On Your Grave has perhaps the most greuling rape sequence ever filmed. It goes on and on and on. And that sequence is the catylist for the revenge plot of the film. Yet the acts of revenge commited by Keatons character never quite match the intensity or horror Keaton was put through during her rape. As a veiwer i wanted to see these men put through hell. I wanted to see them tortured and begging for life. Instead Meir Zarchi goes the route of just getting them offed and out of the way so he can end his film. Woman are portrayed as victims always asking for it and men are portrayed as animals always on the prowl. |

Frankenhooker (1990, R)
incredibly funny! One of those cult films that deserve its reputation as a wild ride loaded with laughs. I love this film! And the lead actor , James Lorinz, is one of the funniest actors ever. He was the highlight of Street Trash and he gets the lead in this. In fact if it werent for him this film wouldnt be as good as it is! |

Ms. 45 (1981, R)
Abel Ferrara crafts a tight little film here. Ms. 45 is a pretty sleazy film. The first to rape sequences are tough to watch. Zoe Tamerlis's performane without any dialogue, because her character is mute, is flawless. |

The Deadly Spawn (1983, R)
Heres another one of those low budget gems that was made with all heart. The Deadly Spawn is a great little sci-fi horror flick. The puppets are great and remind me of giant monster penises. The scene were the baby spawn terrorize the group of old woman is great. |

The perfect example of a Trash/Exploitation film! Faster Pussycat Kill Kill is fucking great. Its got a great score, great dialogue and enough imagry to keep me rubbing it raw! Tenement (Game of Survival) (Slaughter in the South Bronx) (1985, Unrated)
Talentless Roberta Findlay delievers a very violent and mean spirited exploitation film here. There are rapes with broomsticks, stabbings, scalding hot water thrown onto people, throat slashings and a variety of other tortures. Its mildly enjoyable...if you really want a good laugh. Its so very badly made. Findlay is about as good at framing a shot as Stevie Wonder would of been. In fact her style reminds me of Stevie Wonders...there was an old episode of Saturday Night Live that Wonder hosted back in the early 80's. And he did one of the famous SNL commercials were he was using a camera to take pictures of a tennis pro. Thats exactly what Roberta Findlay is like behind the camera! She just cant capture a person on film with out cropping their heads off. If your gonna watch this, make sure there is a friend in the room and alchohal or other substances to enhance the "experience" |

Foxy Brown (1974, R)
Pam Grier is kicking ass and looking hot in Foxy Brown. It starts off pretty tame, but after the first 40 minutes or so it gets pretty good. As with most Blaxploitation films the white are the racist villians. Often reffereing to Foxy as Jigaboo and Spook. The film takes a pretty sleazy turn when Foxy is sent to "the ranch" were she is doped up and raped. The violence is pretty good too with castration, decapitation by airplane propeller, eyes raked out with coat hangers and gun shots. |
|

Rolling Thunder (1977, R)
Rolling Thunder is a odd film. On one hand its a very self aware Drama, and on the other hand its a mean vigilante film. It definatly distances its self from the Death Wish types. With Paul Schrader scripting, its definatly deeper than the usual. |

Equinox (1992, R)Equinox is a completely cool and imaginative little film. It is totally Lovecraftian and shares alot in common with The Evil Dead. |
|
| 102 |
The Midnight Meat Train (2008, R)
This isnt anything really new or original but its done well. Perhaps the best of its type. Thats not really saying much. Maybe its me and i prefer some sophistication brought to my horror, but iam so tired of this type of film. In its defense it does go to a place none of them have before...but its too little to late. I would liked to have seen this certain element brought in earlier and explored a little more. Its not that i need an explanation for every thing....its just there seemed to be a cool idea here thats really only glimpsed at for less than a minute. |
|
| 103 |
The Lost (2006, Unrated)
A well done adaptation of Jack Ketchums intense novel. Its extremly faithful to its source material. All the casted actors were perfect to the characters they portrayed. Its well acted, well directed and violent as fuck. It does have it flaws but its not a shit fest. Its a good film. When i first read the novel i thought to myself if they ever turned this into a film it would be impossible to do....well i was proved wrong. But i wish they ended it with the prison bitch senario. |

Amityville II: The Possession (1982, R)
Decent prequel is loaded with demonic possesion and incest. This is a pretty damn sleazy film thats pretty much over looked in the genre. Burt Young is a slimeball who beats up his family. The possesion makeup is pretty top notch stuff. This film is actually better than the original in alot of ways. The dialogue is laughable at times and the acting from some of the players are something to be desired...but what the fuck are you expecting in a film like this, Marlon Brando or Robert Mitchum. Get fucking real...this is Amityville II for christ sakes! And its pretty damn effective! Creepy and sleazy, the way i like 'em. |
|
| 105 |
The Strangers (2008, R)
Pretty generic stalk and slash fare thats saving grace is well staged frights. It definatly had some creepy moments and they were all handled well by the director, but its nothing we havnt seen a million times over. I really liked the first half but the last half became monotonous with the same old terrorizing hijinx that takes place during the first half. The "strangers" were pretty creepy with their masks and ability to just appear out of nowere. The terror tactics they used were pretty damn effective. And those elements are really strong in the first half. Worth a watch if you can tollerate this type of stuff. Nothing to rave about though. |

|
| 107 |
The Ruins (2008, R)
Predictable characters and lack of real suspense doesnt stop The Ruins from being a generaly fun film. Its truthfully better than most modern horror films. Its not a remake of a japanese horror film and its not a remake of a 70's-80's horror film, so right there it deserves more of a chance than anything out today. |
|
| 108 |
The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976, R)Oddity based on the true crime spree known as the Texarkana Moonlight Murders from the mid 40's. Directed with a psudo-documentary feel, Charles B. Pierce also directed The Legend Of Boggy Creek that also had the semi-documentary feel. The Town That Dreaded Sundown is entertaining in the low budget drive-in sense. The acting is at times laughable..even the great Ben Johnson has it rough in that dept. But Pierces eye for authenticity is amazing. Everything you see feels like its from the time the film takes place, 1946. And his use of having the real townfolk as extras adds to the semi-documentary feel. |
|
| 109 |
Rogue (Rogue Crocodile) (2008, R)
Theres only so much you can do with a giant crocodile film and this film is no exception. Other than the fact that it is shot nicly. There are some cool scenes involving the Croc stalking its prey. Rogue is fun. Not Great...but fun. Thankfully its Teenless. And the mostly adult cast make this more than just watchable. McLean still knows how to make a film look beautiful, taking advantage of its Aussie surroundings. |
|
| 110 |
Drag Me to Hell (2009, PG-13)
Drag Me To Hell is Sam Raimi's triumphant return to the Horror genre. Its been almost 20 years if you count the awfull Army Of Darkness. And With Drag Me To Hell Raimi out does himself. Its extremly entertaining. Full of jumps galore, frightening imagry, lots of foreign fluids in the mouth, loud creepy sounds, a wonderful Cristopher Young score and that unique Raimi visual style. The story is a good one and Alison Loman is so damn cute you instantly sympathize with her. And Raimi abuses the fuck out of her. He abuses her like he would Bruce Cambell!! In fact i bet when Bruce first saw the film he said, "it about damn time Sam did this to someone other than me!" |

Slither (2006, R) |

| 112 |
Paranormal Activity (2009, R)
Annoying couple are haunted by Demon in this Blair Witch-esque horror film. Truthfully this isn't that bad of a film. Its effective and there are some genuinly creepy scares. Its alot better than Blair Witch was! I say that because when you see this you cant help but think of Blair Witch. Iam a definate believer in the unknown and supernatural, so films like this usually 'haunt' me for lack of a better word. |
|
| 113 |
Orphan (2009, R)
Better than expected but still its what i expected. Pretty familiar story has the added touch of being a little more creepy than its earlier predecessor's in the evil child catagory. Its no Omen but its no Good Son either. Isabelle Fuhrman who plays Esther the Orphan is spot on in the acting dept. Its pretty rare when a child actor is really good and this one has three kids in the film who were all pretty damn good. Orphan is sadistic, sleazy and borderline child abuse for the kids involved in the filming....or they did such a good job acting its seems that way!? |
|
| 114 |
Death Sentence (2007, R)
Death Sentence is a fun sleazy vigilante revenge thriller. Its fast paced and never boring. Wan brings style to the film. There is a great three minute tracking shot that takes place in a parking garage as the camera zooms in and out through the levels. Wan is a young guy but he shows alot of promise with this film. There is an incredible amount of graphic violence here. Throat slashings, lots of shotgun blasts blowing holes and severing limbs, fingers being shot off and bludgeonings with bats. Wan never shys away from the violence, he just doesnt linger upon it. Everything is seen in all its graphic glory. Bacon brings alot of emotion to the role. And when its time for him to be a bad ass, watch out. He seriously fucks up alot of people. John Goodman has a small role as a sleazy father of the leader of the gang. And Kelly Preston plays Bacons wife. All involved are good. Except the chick who plays the cop. I found her character to be the weak spot in this film. And truthfuly she was just plain annoying. |
