One of the greatest film directors of the past century. He also served as producer,writer on some of his astounding projects. His next to last film,"Fanny and Alexander" won the 1983 Oscar for Best Foreigh Film,and was highly praised. Bergman is one of ten of the greatest directors of all time,right up there with Akira Kawosaka, Stanley Kubrick,Alfred Hitchcock,and Fellini.
