The Great Spanish Language Film
For the last ten years if not longer, Spanish language films have sat at the forefront of strikingly original and exciting filmmaking. Basically, I wanted to make a list of great Spanish films. The problem was that many of the films I wanted to include aren't only from Spain, but also from Cuba and Mexico, and even English language films produced in these countries. So to avoid making generalizations, I wanted to compile a list of great Spanish language, revolutionary, must-see films. (I will continue to add more films as they pop up into my memory and as I see more). These are the best of the best. I also would like anyone viewing this list to help make out. Recommendations are welcome. Just send me a message. Also message me if you think a film shouldn't be there. The list is also in no particular order.

A genuine masterpiece!!! Almodovar's best work is also quite possibly the best woman's film I've ever seen. It's a shame that there are so few movies and female roles like these. |
