1
A Time to Kill (1996,  R)
A Time to Kill
A reasonable faithful adaptation storywise. The minor tweaks aren't annoying. Overall a tense legal thriller.
2
The Firm (1993,  R)
The Firm
When I first saw it, I loved it. I then read the book and realised that through one little change in the movie, the story is not as compelling as the book. An average adaptation.
3
The Pelican Brief (1993,  PG-13)
The Pelican Brief
A tight 90s thriller that doesn't explain the legal drama that well. Settling for explosions and tenseness to explain itself. A decent thriller.
4
The Client (1994,  PG-13)
The Client
The best of the Grisham adaptations. Sarandon is outstanding and the story is gripping from start to finish. The ending still gets me choked up at times.
5
The Chamber (1996,  R)
The Chamber
My second favourite of the Grisham films. The changes to the story don't affect the plot that much and even though I knew how it would end, the movie still had me on the edge of my seat.
6
The Rainmaker (1997,  PG-13)
The Rainmaker
It's been so long since I've seen it, I do remember it being faithful and enjoying it at the time.
7
Runaway Jury (2003,  PG-13)
Runaway Jury
A tight legal thriller which worked much better on screen than on paper. I think the change from cigarettes to gun also made it more thrilling. A good adaptation.
8
A Painted House (2003,  Unrated)
A Painted House
I haven't read the book yet, because the story doesn't seem that exciting. Hopefully I'll be able to view this one day.
9
Christmas with the Kranks (2004,  PG)
Christmas with the Kranks
I found the book a great fun read. I have the DVD sitting in my collection. I just need to make time to check it out.
10
The Gingerbread Man (1997,  R)
The Gingerbread Man
Not based on a printed novel. It's a b it obvious to why it was never published. The story drags it part and I got confused at some points. Any Grisham fan should still check it out.
