A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984,  R)
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4.0 Stars
Excellent horror movie by Wes Craven, who delivered us a great horror iconic, Freddy Krueger play to perfection in here and all the movies by Robert Englund. Brought down a point for it's lazy ending.

It has some spooky moments and good special effects, but Freddy needs to stay in the dream world. The script is also pretty sloppy and the lead is a major step down from Nancy.

The best of the sequels, even though Freddy's darkness begins to fade. Very imaginative and the effects are great.

Resurrected by dog piss... Freddy's back...and goofier than ever. The great special effects do stand out and Lisa Wilcox isn't a bad replacement for Nancy.

Some good special effects can't save this. I give the movie props for a neat atmosphere and returning Freddy some of his darkness.

"You forgot the Power glove!" This forgot the horror. No wonder Wes Craven hates the sequels. Freddy's Dead alright.

Freddy vs. Jason (2003,  R)
Freddy vs. Jason 1.5 Stars
For a movie that was in development hell for 10 years you would think that there was a better script out there. The acting(aside from Englund) is laughable. More campy than dark.
