Grosse Pointe Blank (1997, R)
John Cusack stars in this outrageously funny action comdey movie as an assasin that kills on contract. He returns to his past in Grosse Pointe for a high school reunion and his high school sweetheart Minnie Driver. The couple give the romance in this movie a witty and fresh tone that mixes brilliantly with darker aspects(contract killing). Dan Aykroyd plays the rival contract killer and blends in well with the rest of the outstanding performance of the cast. Highly enjoyable movie. |

Twilight (2008, PG-13)
For all those not familiar with the works of Stephanie Meyer, this movie does not disapoint her work. I am most impressed with the casting of this movie. The most essential component was how the actors embraced their characters and made it their own. Robert Pattison, although i was abit apprehensive about him, proved to deliver duly. A demon, attracts his prey Bella, played by Kirsten Stewart. I cannot tell you how talented she is in this movie. The casting of the rest of the folk, the Cullen family and the Blacks made the movie even more magical. Makeup and special effects, the scenery, the background was carefully chosen and did not dissapoint as anticipated by me. |

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975, R)
This movie was hilarious if you watched it in its entire context, i have become a big Tim Curry fan ever since. I think that this movie has been addicted to the song, 'and a jump to the riii-iii--ght, out your hands on your hips and pulls your knees in tiiigghhhtt..', this movie is brilliant in its own stupid way. Transvestite, a supposed reincarnation of frankenstein(but more handsome) and a young couple in love. You have to be patient with all the singing and dancing but its an hour of amusement thats definately worth your time. |
