The Worst Films Ever List
We've all been waiting for it... and I believe I've come up with some keepers. And yes, the numerical order of the list actually is relevant.

The Life of David Gale (2003, R)
Spoiler: This film is shit for so many reasons that it even TRICKS the audience into thinking what they've seen is a righteous act from a brilliant pacifist. Wrong. What people don't realize is that Gale completely, completely contradicts EVERYTHING he believes in once we discover the truth - he DESERVED the death penalty, do you understand? The state did not screw up, even if he believes they did this without evidence. They didn't need evidence, they had at their feet all the evidence he threw at them which is like any confession. If they didn't finish him off, he would have to live with the guilt of losing Linney's character. |

I Am Sam (2002, PG-13)
This is one of the most manipulative films ever crafted, ruining (for me) the careers of both Penn and Pfeiffer, despite stunning work later on in life. The director over simplifies and utterly shits on all logic, and Penn gives us a cheap rendition of what Hoffman did perfectly more than a decade prior. This is a dishonest piece of filmmaking and tries to render weak tears for the sake of thought - humanism has never been so bashed upon. |

Run Lola Run (Lola rennt) (1999, R)
Your girlfriend will love it, and pseudo-foreign film geeks will adore it - but this action packed piece is no art house gem and is certainly no concept collage. This may be internationally embraced, but those few intellectuals left of us in the film game will be able to dismantle what the film fails to deconstruct on its own, which is a slow-mind glamour show for the dim witted. |

Bowling for Columbine (2002, R)
Michael Moore is a socialist pig with no credible political background who is too busy burning the flag to really take the time and shine some constructive light on the subject. This is mockumentary at its worse with faux statistics, poor research and manipulative film tactics via editing. You can almost hear the "cut" being yelled between each scene and supposed "interview". |

Basic Instinct (1992, R)
I've always hated this example of the erotic-thriller genre, partially due to the incompetence of Sharon Stone's useless performance (as usual). There's nothing surprising about the ending and there's certainly nothing intriguing about the love triangle; Douglas is the real victim for he is forced to play such a ridiculous and unknowing character that would have never allowed himself to sink this low. |

Tank Girl (1995, R)
One of the worst films ever made. I can't begin to express how much I wanted to beat Lori Petty in the face with a hockey puck and hope to god those lips would stop that retarded smile and put a hault to that shrill she calls her voice. We can forgive Naomi Watts and Malcolm McDowell for doing this, but the rest of the cast and production behind this monstrosity stands as an insult to the post-feminist movement it is trying to bring up. |

Homegrown (1998, R)
One of the worst films ever made. There's nothing clever or funny about any of the situations, and the performances are all put to waste. The last scene is utterly painful and misdirected on all accounts, which is just a well placed mirror to summarize the rest of this crap fest. Big cast, little brain. |

Kingdom of Heaven (2005, R)
Despite the fact that nearly everyone predicted how horrible this film would be before its release, it is no surprise that Ridley Scott deconstructs another epic to very little thought and alot of nonesense, prolonged for those hours upon hours that has become a trademark for his poor films. |
