Very impressive! I've always loved the Phantom of the Opera and this movie was just an extension of that. this comes close to the amzment and true magic that the broadway performance had offered. it was a thrilling experience. so much detail was put ...(read more)into this. the songs and lyics were transfered perfectly. the acting at times was a bit disapointing. however, the beauty and passion that this film brought was enough to keep you entertained throughout all of this. another visually entertaining movie. I highly recomend this.

It's not as thrilling or terrifying as it has b...(read more)een portrayed to be. in the end, this is just another mediocre "popcorn" film. i wouldn't say this movie is a complete waste of time. the most intriguing aspect of this film is just the way the killer thinks. he sets people up for death giving them a choice. either they overcome the obstacle they are forced into or die trying.

Edgar Wright's directional debut and what a fine film it is. A horror/comedy has been done before, but not like this. The only problem was the strain of it all. Too much, too little? Too hard to tell.

Shaun, the salesman, is in a mix-up with his life. With a dead relationship with his ex, a killer hate for his step dad, and a daily routine aside the roommate, Shaun is way down on all luck. As if it couldn't get any worse... (I spoke too soon). Oh no! Zombies are multiplying in size and taking over London! What's the plan, then? Get his girl back, make mends with the folks, and sort life out. Oh, and try not to get eaten alive.

There is where my weak spot is. I don't mean the nerve in my body that, if pushed, completely exaggerates my level of enjoyment. Not at all that. It's the area which exasperates my frustration. The place this falls under is the plot. Though the constant gags and giggles are witty as well as original and creative, the way it goes is unusual. There isn't a single moment where the next scene becomes obvious. It's spontaneous, but not random during. Without any anticipation or distinct direction, adding little action or screening, it's easy to loose interest in what's going on. But I digress.

Other than that, the flaws fall short.
