NICE MOVIE!!! The volume of humanity expressed throughout the film is just great!!! (Life is so short; we must treasure every tick of the clock!! We've to try new things and chase our dreams to find our passions.) >> I think this is the main message of the movie.

The movie does have some great effects, the thrills were non-stop and executed brilliantly. But the storyline is seriously lacking. (It underestimates the human mind in a ridiculous way!! )..."The Earth is invaded by alien tripod fighting machines!!" YOU can't be serious??!!! This is VERY SILLY!!!

The end was so disappointing. It came a bit suddenly and with perhaps not quite enough explanation and too little imagination!!
We have just seen the destruction of millions of humans, but Cruise was able to make it to Boston!! Ohh and his son survived too!! After this horrible attack, this one family is reunited in a major city?!! (SORRY, but am I suppose to believe this??!!) As I said too little imagination!!

However it must be said that Dakota Fanning blew everyone else away. She is one of the most talented actresses I've ever seen.
Finally I have to admit that this movie has a lot of good moments that got my attention. It's an excellent entertainment.

It was okay; I liked the self discovery process throughout the movie. It made me feel for both the victim and the villain and feel their pain, in a way that you can't blame them totally for their acts.
The movie was so predictable and some things didn't make sense at all but in general it was good.
