A okay comedy starring Tom Hanks as a cop who finds a dog at a murder that can help identify the killer. The movie has a solid story and some funny scenes. The film is one of those that I never get tired of watching. Plus so many quotes from this film. A classic.

The Da Vinci Code (2006,  PG-13)
The Da Vinci Code
I've never read the book but the movie was really good. It does make you think back on history and how maybe certain people have controlled or hidden parts of history. A good story with some decent action in it. Tom Hanks and Ian McKellen give the best performances in this film. Worth a watch.
39
Charlie Wilson's War (2007,  R)
Charlie Wilson's War
This is a good political film based on true events about Texas congressman Charile Wilson and his story about trying to supply weapons to Afghanistan to help fight the Soviets in the 80's. The film shows that even though Charlie Wilson is a playboy politician he is also a very smart man in many ways. The film is a nice flowing story and has great dialouge. The film is also very funny at times. I am not sure if the director meant to have it done this way or it was by accident. But it worked. The film has a great cast with Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Ned Beatty, Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Slattery. But it was the performances of Tom Hanks and Philip Seymour Hoffman that made the film. They were both excellent in their roles. Overall a great political film that shows one side of the story about Charlie Wilson and his dealings with the Afghan-Russian war.
