The Bucket List (2007,  PG-13)
The Bucket List
One thing has become quite evident with this film: Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman have sure gotten old and grey these days. Luckily though, these two legends have lost none of their masterful acting skills with time and are as good and gung-ho as ever. Their two characters, that are the center of this story, are incredibly funny, charming and well-written roles and I had a really good time watching them together on screen. So good in fact, that it surely enough ended up on my Top 10 of 2007 list :-)

This movie is much like one of those good old buddy comedies they made so frequently during the 90's, altough with a lot more heart, soul and dignity. Because not only is it very enjoyable, but it also has a lot to teach about life and what makes it worth living. With that said, I wasn't surprised at all to see it was directed by another great legend, namely Rob Reiner, who in the past has gifted us such memorable movies as "When Harry met Sally", "Stand by Me", "Misery" and "A Few Good Men". And as for "The Bucket List"...well, I'm very happy to say it's another brilliant addition to Mr Reiner's long and respectable career.

Two thumbs up! d(''d)

This Is Spinal Tap (1984,  R)
4
Misery (1990,  R)
Misery
Very good and suspenseful. One of the best Stephen King movies I've seen. It is partially a very claustrophobic and uncomfortable film, but the acting was top notch and the storyline was great.
5
When Harry Met Sally (1989,  R)
6
A Few Good Men (1992,  R)
A Few Good Men
Well-written script, great cast and a pretty good movie overall.
7
The Princess Bride (1987,  PG)
The Princess Bride
Not as good as I thought it would be, but still an enjoyable movie. It's also part of the lovable genre that is 80's fantasy, alongside movies like "Krull" and "The Neverending Story". After seeing the "Lord of the Rings" and "Harry Potter" films, however, this suddenly becomes quite pale in comparison.
8
Rumor Has It (2005,  PG-13)
9
Alex & Emma (2003,  PG)
10
The Story of Us (1999,  R)
